Hearing rumours that Declan is out on appeal and was at tonight's game at Bo'ness. Any appeal is unlikely not to be heard until next year. As I understand it Livi keen to sign him if we don't then Falkirk will sign him.

Watson have just signed for Falkirk lol.
Don't know if we've room for Gallagher now with 4 CB's already signed up but would be great if we did sign him back up. I quite like the look of Neill and Gordon, if Gallagher signed maybe Cole would move into midfield and Sives to RB, that would give us a combo of Gallagher, Gordon & Neill to play with when injuries or suspensions kick in.

Having spoken to Declan I can confirm he has been released from Prison and rightly so, was a harsh sentence thats for sure (but thats my own opinion)
However he 100% wants to sign for Livi again and I really hope he does sign up.
He wants all Livi fans to know he loves the club and wants to play for us.
Burchill stand by your words and give the man a contract

Callum Carson has confirmed that Declan is training with the club but as yet no contract has been offered.

That doesn't mean to say he is innocent and could still end up back in jail. I believe any appeal is unlikely to be heard until early next year.

Looks like we bring Declan back, but shaft Gordon McDougall, who has worked hard to ensure Livi FC is actually here today #morecourtcases #morelegalbills

Surely some mistake? Out on appeal you say? He brained a lad with a baseball bat, lest we forget.

Surely some mistake? Out on appeal you say? He brained a lad with a baseball bat, lest we forget. Technically he was found guilty of that act; something he strenuously denies. If the appeal is based on the judge mis-directing the jury then they may not have found him guilty had they been given the correct direction.

Declan is a good player and I'm all for him coming back if he successfully clears his name but until then we shouldn't be touching him with a ten foot bargepole.

So guilty until proven innocent then?

I think his Uncle was convicted too for the same thing, did they take shot about with the baseball bat?
I'd love him back playing for us, kep checking up to see if it official yet, mon Livi get it done.

So guilty until proven innocent then? When he's already been proven guilty then I don't think that's unreasonable. The club was right to support him last season while he was awaiting trial.

Until his appeal is heard his conviction still stands. This was a very serious offence. It could have been one blow away from a murder charge. He should not be back at the club until the appeal is heard. We have enough internal problems without creating more

Going on what I've seen of him since at Livi I've no objection at all to him signing back up. Not even heard of or seen Gallagher involved in an argument let alone a violent act since he came to Livi and seems a decent enough young guy. Not even sure he did lamp the guy with the baseball bat, though obv he was involved in the fight and was very stupid to have been dragged into it. I believe he is genuine about regretting his actions on that day and wont do so again.

Gallagher maintains his innocence so there really must be grounds for an appeal or surely a high court judge would not have let him out. The boy cannot stand up and speak for himself while this is ongoing. If we have ambitions to reach top 4 this season we need to re-sign. Give him a break I say.

Declan was a great player for us last season. He must have a strong case for his appeal or he wouldn't be out. I read in the Edinburgh evening news that the club is waiting to find out what the fans want. Well in my opinion let him play for us. He will certainly strengthen our defence.

So guilty until proven innocent then? When he's already been proven guilty then I don't think that's unreasonable. The club was right to support him last season while he was awaiting trial. However if the judge misdirected the jury then the verdict is once again in the balance. With the correct direction from the judge perhaps the verdict would be different; hence the appeal, which obviously means he is innocent until the outcome of the appeal or he'd still be inside.
