Absolutely delighted with that win. Tough, tough place to go Agreed! Good to get it up their bad tempered fans! There was one asshole in particular in the stand opposite the main stand who was giving it large with his foul mouth the whole afternoon. - he screamed to Iain Russell at one point "I hope you die in a house fire ya **nt! I've heard some pish shouted at plenty of games but I reckon that was the worst! Asshole, indeed.

Tony Andreu (six yard line) celebrates scoring the only goal of the game from close range after 21 minutes. Dunfermline 0-1 Livingston Sat 26th Jan '13Tony had an excellent afternoon and I don't think there was single failure on our side! I hope he's okay cos it looked like he had an ice pack strapped to his left calf after he went off. Today was a real backs to the wall performance and the whole team really dug deep for the 3 points! Yes, Dunfermline huffed and puffed and had a high percentage of possession but we harried, closed down and restricted them for long spells to taking pot shots from distance. Where we could have helped ourselves a wee bit better was when we elected to pump the ball long it was very often just a hit and hope (similar to Dunfermline did all game). That just gives the ball away and will probably see John Collins having palpitations in the stand. We're much better when we look for the man first and if that means the long ball is an available option then we at least know where to hit it rather than an aimless punt that simply gives the ball away. Overall, a well deserved 3 points, in my opinion. Great too to keep a clean sheet, something we've not done for a wee while. I reckon we should be looking to ride over the top of Dumbarton next week and confidently knock their recent revival squarely on the head. COLTS!

The auld(ish) boy that recited Tam O' Shanter was excellent!
And a word about the food too - a great four courser overall but that was the best bit of beef, for the main course, I've ever had! I wouldn't normally order a dish like that if in a restaurant but if it could be guaranteed to be of the same quality as that then my usual chicken dish choice would be getting the old heave ho! ;D

It's always been the same, Dov. There's never many actual Livi fans go to functions hosted by the club. I suppose that those who go home and away would say that they're already doing their bit and that for others it's a case of money being tight so they're picking and choosing what club event to back and what event to body swerve. It would be great to have each night packed to the rafters with home fans but in a way I think it's good that the club can attract people who wouldn't ordinarily give Livi FC a second thought to attend events in the Almondvale Suite and the other hospitality areas. I don't know how hard it is for the club to go out and get the attention of these 'other' people but if they're spending their cash at the club then it mibbe takes the pressure of the home fans to do so and mibbe allows more fans to get to a game at Almondvale or maybe the odd away game too? To be honest though, in the past I've been in the Almondvale Suite for a couple of hours before every home game for food and drink and been to several/many club functions over the years and at one point was pretty much sick of the sight of the place as it seemed like I was never out of there. It began to feel like the same old same old. I was also down at a New Year party there one time and it was fine but her indoors wouldn't want to go back again because we've 'done that', if you know what I mean? Anyway, most fans will do what they can and only they will know whether or not they could've done/can do more. Now shut it. Just cos you've goat a sair heed!

We'll have to play better than the 4-0 humping we got the last time we were over visiting the six fingered mob! We've come on leaps and bounds since then so hopefully we can take the game right to them and put them under pressure high up the park. See you behind the goals. COLTS!

The world's away to the dugs if anyone starts congratulating Pat Nevin on anything he says - the useless, halfwit, clown of a man. I can only tolerate him when he's on the radio. You can't see him twirling that stupid bloody biro of his over the airwaves.

JCAGTL seems to know he is already well liked by the fans (and team mates). Not heard of this web site before but a decent interview!

A decent first blog from Mango!
I wonder how he would have tackled the ball boy who threw himself on the ball at the Chelsea game last night?
Probably hoofed both ball and boy straight into row Z!
And quite right too. ;D

Well done to Pat Nevin this morning for coming out and saying that he would've done exactly the same thing to the time wasting cheat of a ball boy.
Hazard probably shouldn't have tried to get a toe on the ball after the lad dropped to the ground on top of it right enough but the youths histrionic were utterly laughable!
One minute he'd been mortally wounded, followed by slightly winded, to finally nothing wrong with him and an apology for deliberately time wasting.
Kick ball boys out of football!

I'd suggest that Hartlepool are so far behind that it's a racing certainty they are going down and Hughes will be shown the door in the summer.

It's win the tie or bust for Lambert, I reckon.
I feel for the Villa fans who've had one disastrous manager after another recently with Lambert just the latest to bite off more than he can chew.
Bradford to make the final.
Taxi for Lambert.

Thanks LLD. Will pop down and hear what's happening. Did you go, Mango Fan? How did you find it? Some of the topics that were discussed included: League reconstruction 1st team tactics Initiatives to boost support/crowds at games Advertise these initiatives Club finances Reasons for various players having left the club recently I enjoyed it tonight. There were several varied questions asked that led to quite a few in depth discussions between the floor and the panel. I hope I'm no in JC's bad books for pointing out a couple of things I noticed last Saturday at Morton and probing as to how things could have been done possibly differently to achieve a more positive result. I think he felt I was wanting the team to resort to simply hoofing the ball long, like the angry shouty mob seem to prefer (nothing could be further from the truth), but he, to be fair to him, patiently explained that that scenario simply wouldn't be happening, which is fair enough. I thought that some of the more vocal supporters of the boot and rush type tactics would have been there to ask the question for themselves, but no. Pity, would have been the perfect opportunity for them to do so.

Sparky's missed a couple of great chances there. Another day he slots them both away.

We were certainly were slower in starting yesterday compared to the last 2 home games we've had recently Yep, I thought we were in for a right roasting the way we allowed them to get at us and pin us back for the first 15-20 minutes. Need to sort that out for the six fingered mob across the Forth next weekend!

I thought we actually matched them for most of the game and had we taken the two really decent chances we had, it could have been a different story. Agreed McNeil must be doing his nut in about this! The lads at the back must try to be more alert - certainly alert enough to match the opposing teams strikers! I thought Mullen took a bit of time to get up to speed with the game when he came on. Didn't really get the opportunity to get on the ball much. Your eyes painted on? The big man had as close to a mare as he's had since coming here. Wasn't awful by any means, just clearly not up to his, admittedly high, usual standards. I actually think that it's a game that will live short in the memory. A lot of huffing and puffing by both teams but not too many opportunities for the better players to shine. Agree though that a draw would have been about right.
