What a disappointment it is to hear Longmuir spout this nonsense!
I agree that this sounds as though he's now just a front man for the OF.
No way should he be considered for the top job if the much talked about SPFL ever sees the light of day.

Came onto a decent bit of form after Yogi gave him his chance. I think his relatively short scoring spree at the tail end of last season was as much down to us creating chances as it was his natural ability. Don't get me wrong, there's been times when I've thought that we could have done with a player like him in the side on a few occasions this season but with Beanie rattling them in for fun these days I've not done so for a while. I wonder just how far down the pecking order he was at Killie to have his 3 year deal quashed after barely 6 months? That can't be so good to have on your CV, I'd have thought. All the same, good luck to him in trying for a longer contract at United.

Yep, I agree that the cash prize difference between the top teams and those even just a little lower down will still be huge but it won't be as high as it has been and is still going to be this season.
There's been a realisation, of sorts, that everyone needs to help each other and whilst possibly not the nirvana that many hoped for the new set-up is a clear indication that teams are at least willing to try something different. And who's to say things won't change again in future?

A commanding performance all over the park. Yeah there were a couple of wee slack passes but you could see how hard everyone worked for each other to get the ball back when it was lost.
Felt like it was minus 10! The sooner we move away from winter football the better!
COLTS!

I might be wrong but I believe that the majority of the extra cash sums that will be filtering down through the leagues is to come at the expense of the teams higher up the league.
So in effect the larger, full time, teams have at long last realised that sharing the pot wider will benefit the smaller full time/part time teams.

I'm not sure what the best way forward should be but it seems clear to everybody that the current set-up isn't working.
I think this proposed changes are worth a try.
To have only one team able to benefit from promotion from the 1st, as is the situation right now, has always been an utter disgrace. The opportunities for more teams to get a sniff of elevation in this new set-up will surely encourage further competition between teams and entice crowds.
Unless the price is too steep and then it's all a waste of time.

Edinburgh parkrun facebook page - www.facebook.com/edinburghparkrunBig record attempt tomorrow at half past 9 @ Cramond promenade. Hoping for more than 500 people to take part! If you'd like to take part then all you have to do is register, print out your personal barcode and bring your personal barcode with you (don't forget it). If you get there about ten past/quarter past 9 then there is always a briefing for first timers where you're given a rundown of where the toilets are, what to do when you cross the finish line etc. It's all very friendly and very welcoming. Go on, give it a go. You might surprise yourself.

I'd agree with that. There's a window of mibbe a day or so (it takes time to work your way through two dozen!) when they're lovely. Obviously the fresher the better though.
The last of the 24 were demolished maybe 3 or 4 days after they were purchased and by then were getting towards a wee bit dry. Still ate them though. ;D

There were still some zoomers in there though Here you, I resemble that remark! Anyway, agreed that not to hear from the horses mouth the reasons for GE's sharp exit stage left was a bit disappointing, if not totally unexpected. I think most questions were fair and asked in a fair manner, even if some were completely off topic. I appreciate the reps of the board that were there tonight taking the time to meet fans face to face so soon after making their decision. The easy thing would have been to remain hidden behind the initial statement. I got the impression from the room that the feeling now was that we all move on together. Folk can see that the team is improving season on season and, the odd gripe about playing style apart, the work of the board to get us into the position we are is much appreciated. Still no Irn-Bru in the pie stalls though. ;-)

That's a pity about big JCAGTL. As leaky as our defence has been he's really slotted in well and we could have done without him missing this weekend. Is it only for the one game? A bit of shuffling around for Richie Burke. If he's still in the hot seat, that is (before anyone else says it ).

Didn't know the results until the now. Not bad.

COLTS!
