None of the messages in the press today would seem to tally with previous messages posted online by people a lot closer to all this than the fans. A case of closing ranks?
Not that that's a bad thing, it's just a bit confusing for those looking on from the outside.

Livingston's local parkrun is held at Cramond promenade, Edinburgh ( course details here). It's a weekly, timed, 5k run/jog/walk every Saturday morning at 9.30am. It's you against the clock. It's FREE to take part but you do need to register before your first run. You only need to register that one time. You're given a personal barcode which you print out and bring with you to identify yourself ( register here). There are people with all sorts of abilities who do parkrun. From experienced club runners to children accompanying their parents. From sprightly elders to mums and dads running along whilst pushing bairns in buggies. I probably fall into the category of 'getting on a bit male trying to work off the Krispy Kreme excess'. It only takes a few moments to register and it really is a great experience! Go on, sign up and give it a go. You might enjoy it! Edinburgh parkrun homepage www.parkrun.org.uk/edinburgh/

Agree with all of that.
We were so much better than them that at times it was awkward to watch (if you know what I mean?).
Even without ever requiring to get out of 3rd gear at any point in the game we could have walked that with our eyes shut.
I actually gave credit to Airdrie Re-united at the break because I felt that even though they were completely over shadowed by us in every department they hadn't resorted to kicking and booting.
Not so the 2nd half. Their manager is an arse and had clearly told them to either leave the boot in or to put the boot in or both.
They let their toatie band of fans down by resorting to thuggery and I'm surprised that they finished with as many players as 10 on the park at the end. The ref could have shown at least another dozen yellow cards to them.
Anyway, animal tactics aside, they were pish and I'm glad we pumped them.
Third is ours if we want it. Let's get it. COLTS!

Calm your jets Mr Watson, think the post was a tongue in cheek reference to the shirt Paul put on display after scoring his goal in the game after Bollan was sacked. Correct.

I'm aware of 4 players who have publicly expressed their delight at the situation. I'm not on Twitter myself but I've no reason to disbelieve the person who said this (it might even have been on here somewhere?).
I'm assuming, of course, but I reckon that other, possibly more social media savvy, players have kept their shared happiness a bit more private.
Who's to say otherwise?

How about we see what David Bingham is up to? If he'd fancy it? Just a suggestion.

It goes without saying that I hope we pump this mob!! Although I'm not sure that we'll be seeing Paul Watson, or any of the squad for that matter, displaying a 'Thank-you GE & JC' t-shirt at any point tomorrow, if the Twitter rumours of mass players celebrations at the pairs departure are to be believed. See you behind the goals. COLTS!

Here's the nonsense statement in question I "claimed" had been made in my earlier post. It was made on facebook. Ian Gillies - i have been told that livi are moving to lanark Sorry, your attempt at lightening the mood went right over my head. Christ knows we could be doing with a laugh right now!

I think that it's highly likely that the board will be given a rough time tomorrow. The angry mob are into over drive on this without knowing a single fact other than the clubs vague statement. But that's all it takes for some folk to utterly lose the plot and to start whipping others into a frenzy with repetitious outlandish statements of treating fans with contempt, not acting in the bests interests of the club, moving the club to Lanark and being on the brink of administration, again. Of course, not a single one of these (and more) angry assertions are based in fact. I do, though, wish the club would issue another, definitive, statement, at least for the sake of clarity, on just why GE was sacked. That way we'll all be in the picture. Not that that would stop the shouty angry mob from banging on and on and on and on though, of course.

JC had a reputation as a serial quitter - toys out the pram kinda guy. Couldn't say whether that was true or not though. The crux of this matter is just why was Evans shown the door. The fans, simply, must be told the truth. Anything less and we're being fobbed off, if you ask me. The clubs options are, on the face of it, easy. Tell the fans the truth, or don't tell the fans the truth.

There's more to this than meets the eye. We've had "generally acceptable results" on the park yet Evans is shown the door. The players not happy at doing 3 training sessions on one day this week and are apparently happy that Evans is gone (happy that Collins is gone too?). Unless there is clear transparency and supporters are told the truth (and not some cockamamie bland nonsense) then I can see some folk throwing the towel in. How many managers is that we've had now? I've not got enough fingers on my hands and toes. [shakes heed]

Some people seem to think we're better than we actually are, in my opinion You're probably right, Dov, but I know we can play better than we have these past two games, that's what is disappointing most for me. There's a wee spark that's not quite right just now. We dominated Hamilton and kept their lad, May, quiet for almost the whole game yet in the 91st minute he scores with what he's been quoted as saying was a complete mishit. Just our luck! It's been commented on elsewhere (and on here a wee bit too) that some of the shouts at our own players from some of our own fans were bordering on the ridiculous yesterday. I cannot for the life of me understand why anyone would pay good money to pay in to a game and then spend the majority of that game shouting pointless bile at the very players they profess to support. Madness.

Always gutting to lose a last minute goal!
I think though that we can't begrudge Hamilton their point as it wasn't the easiest of games on the eyes and, at times, seemed to resemble a pre-season friendly there was so little passion on show.
The ball was hoofed left, right and centre. Probably because the pitch was so rutted and bumpy.
A bit disappointed tonight.

That's a bit strange is it not? It's almost the end of February and we've only played Hamilton once so far this season. And the second time we play them it's at their bit, again. So with only 13 games left to go this season we still have to play them 3 times. I'm sure there's a world somewhere where any of that makes sense.

I'll give it another bash before the end of the season ago, but there is no creative spark, or any urgency atall. It summed up overpriced for me, even at the reduced rate! Hack - It's not my (or any other fans) job to make excuses for a poor performance, so I'm not going to. On the face of it, there are none anyway. The disappointing thing for fans, especially for those who go regularly, is that just isn't how Livi have been playing at all this season. We were turned over good style at East End Park earlier this season (which wasn't pretty) but Tuesday night was a bigger disappointment for me because I absolutely know that every single player can put in a better shift than that with their eyes shut. I can't explain it other than to shrug and say "one of they days". You're never going to see as many goals as you're used to when you go to watch a game of air hockey or get the same thrills and spills as when you go to watch the stock cubes but at least you want your team compete as you know they can. At least there's another game on Saturday to put the Falkirk game behind us quickly. Of course I want the win but if we at least play to our capabilities and give them a game then I'll accept the result whatever it may be.

Ah but there's singing and there's singing. A tuneful ditty is good and might even encourage others to join in, If they don't then carry on anyway. On the other hand, an expletive filled tirade of angry tuneless 'songs' that just annoys anyone within earshot and attracts the attention of the authorities isn't so good.

when you are getting told to shutup by your own fans and sit down by the stewards at an away game is just pathetic none of the DBM were there. What was happening for folk to be told to shut up by fellow Livi fans then?

We'll need to keep the ball away from their lad Lyle Taylor! He clearly knows the route to goal so cutting off the feed to him will be vital! The most disappointing thing was that Taylor didn't have to work hard to get his goals.
