You can't be referring to Sekajja; Crystal Palace are hardly a pub team? No, I was meaning that it was mentioned that we've signed a player from The Harvester, a local pub in Knightsridge. Still not been clarified if that rumour is true.

Doesn't Neil Hastings have something to do with Harvester AFC? Could probably explain a few things, such as friendlies against them and now this boy coming on trial. By all accounts, going by comments on P&B, the laddie Swan is a good player but just needs to screw the nut. Understandable that a few posters are dubious to the extreme about signing players from the lower reaches - but it would appear this guy isn't some dafty, I seem to recall Partick Thistle plucking a certain Kris Doolan from the lower reaches of Scottish non-league football and now he's scoring regularly in the Premiership. I'm not saying this guy will go the same way but it's about time we got some luck on that front.
As for Riordan being on trial, I'll judge him when I see him play. I can only remember him being brought down by Mensing last season for Alloa resulting in the latter going off - doesn't say much about his overall contribution to their team but there is an immensely talented player in there somewhere, again, depends how much he wants it and if he has the right attitude. Going by his illustrious past I'd be inclined to say he'll flop big style if he does sign, but nothing surprises me about this club anymore, and if he were to start banging the goals in I couldn't give a flying monkeys arse if he looks like a rat and is a total arsehole off the pitch - we're in a very large hole at the moment and I'm sure the vast majority of Livi fans would take any way to get off the bottom of the league.

Not sure but think Burchills brother played/plays for Harvester.
Family ties and old friends act runs deep in football

Not sure but think Burchills brother played/plays for Harvester. Family ties and old friends act runs deep in football He has two older brothers that I know of, both were handy players in their day. Steve was at Motherwell for a time in late 80's and was part of our back room staff for a short period along with Ian Ross. Brian has a career away from football last I heard. Don't think we can look for either of them pulling on boots in near future.

Well u are the one that keeps supplying us with all the inside info (some of it inaccurate ) so why don't you put us all right rather than just accusing people of being hurtfull towards your mate Burkehill ? would you also be offended if I was to point out that Your other mate Hastings is not only 2nd in line to the throne but is still also registered with us as a player until the end of the season ? He must just about be able to taste the managers job and let's face it he knows just what it takes to get rid of both novice and experienced managers, wonder if he may be tempted or will he maybe just use his new position to get himself back in the team? lol surely not, either way I hope Burkehill has eyes in the back of his head ?

Not a Burchill fan i see, he ain't no friend of mine just to make that clear to you. I don't think there is any pub team player as a trialist at Livi, there wasn't one there today.

I will be a fan of Burkehills if he earns it but right at this minute he has done nothing for our club as a player, assistant manager or manager and the only reason he ever got near the club in the first place was because he is Burkes mate! PS I am not a Hastings fan either !

I thought it was well known who the trialists were, at least two of them anyway, was just asking if they took part in the bounce game last night if it went ahead and how they got on. Is that okay.

Having been away for some time recovering from a liver problem, (not that that matters) I am well surprised by the heat in this debate. To me it makes no difference if we find a player on the Eliburn Park or from Celtic, if he can do the deed that is what counts. Was Ian Wright not found playing on Hackney Marches in his 20's? proven goal scorer in the top league. My only concern is that with our cutbacks we do not have enough eyes searching for our Ian and that is what will cost us more rather than where we are looking.
