If we do sign a player or 2 where should we be targeting?
Should any of the current squad be punted?
Discuss....

Not too many of the squad will be in demand, I suspect. Those who can play at a higher level need to be signed up, to make sure we get some income from them if they move on. Gallagher and Keaghan are the two obvious ones. As far as new players are concerned, that seems obvious. Another centre back, a right back, a creative goal-scoring midfielder and a striker capable of scoring.a few. The latter may not be necessary of a creative midfielder comes in. I know Robertson isn't blessed with pace but look back on early season results. He was weighing in with a goal or two, created chances and set goals up, and was a source of positivity in the squad. Lots of forward passes, rather than sideways or backward ones. Now that he's back and fit, he should play. That might help Mullen and White, both of whom desperately lack service every week. If Keaghan leaves, I think we have problems. Can Jack Beaumont fill those boots, or Praprotnik? Moffat could be worth a run. We always do best when we play with width. Get to the byline and drill it into the area - high or low - and yet it seems we only do so when it's too late.

Burchill - am joking colcal well half joking
I think we need a creative forward and a creative midfielder.
I think we have enough at the back to see us through this campaign,
I'd let the boy Ogleby go he hasn't cut it at home and by all accounts isn't cutting it away from home.
Rumour in the bookies yesterday that Keaghan is away to Hearts it's a done deal - from a Hearts fan.

Can we afford to sign anyone? If not, then we shouldn't be signing anyone.

See John Baird has just been released from QOTS - no idea what his scoring record is like but he's always caused bother against us.
I reckon Burchill might need to try and tap in to his contacts in the game to look for loan players.

McKenna and ogleby can go , a couple of creative mid fielders is all we need to gel the team together .

I have more sympathy for McKenna than Ogleby although it looks like Burchill doesn't favour McKenna.

I assume since the Chairman paid off HMRC to remove the signing ban, that there is an intention to make signing(s). However, do we have the money to pay for more players? Do we need to move some players on first? Who would take them? Who would be willing to come to us - bottom of the league; financial difficulties. "Watch this space"

That's Falkirk signed Mark Kerr & John Baird from Falkirk and Aaron Muirhead from Partick Thistle. Would have bitten your hand off for any of them.

Rob Ogelby has been released and apparently we are playing Celtic tomorrow in a closed doors game with 3-4 trialists and possible signings before sat

I would imagine it's a Celtic youth team it's a closed doors game at Lennoxtown 1pm ko
Callum Carson from the courier has tweeted about it today and Ogelby himself announced his departure on twitter

No offence to the boy but he's on a par with the most hopeless strikers we've ever had. He made Jamie Mole look almost competent. Almost.

After what has just happened with George Hunter I cannot help but wonder if the intrepid duo of Burchill and Hastings would know a good player if they tripped over one? The goal scoring machine was treated terribly by McGlyn and the intrepid duo and was released last summer only to be pounced on by Hearts, Hibs, ICT and the Saints to name but a few and has now been given a 2 year contract in the SPFL! Not only have these idiots thrown away an excellent striker with bags of potential who seems to be on every other clubs radar but they have also thrown away any much needed cash that we could/should have earned from him! Burke will be very proud of them!

Pretty sure Burchill will be trying to bring in some experienced players over this month for the rest of the season.

Pretty sure Burchill will be trying to bring in some experienced players over this month for the rest of the season. Experience is irrelevant, being good players with a good attitude is more important! Hearts are not top of the league by having a team full of experienced players and lets be honest some of our most experienced players are our worst players!

Sorry disagree with the hertz team, it is littered with experienced players, nobody would ever have expected the run they have went on after the season they had last year, lets see who Burchill brings in, hopefully they can just be good.

Average age of entire squad is 21 years old with the oldest player being 28 and thats not counting the other youth players who get regular run outs! Whats your definition of a litter of experience ? We have a 33 year old with years of vast experience and he still hasnt even learned not to put the ball in his own net! We need quality not just experience!
