There is probably nothing in this world I want more than to finally get a win against this mob.
Unfortunately, I can’t see it happening.

I think our defence has been exceptional so far this season and we give away very few chances. Whilst I imagine we’ll have to defend for our lives tomorrow, I don’t see us being turned over like some other teams in this league. Having said that, Celtic have some serious height and physicality that will be looking to match our own strengths.
It’s a shame that Jack McMillan looks likely to miss out after being subbed early last week. I think he’d have helped cut out some of Teirney’s attacks tomorrow.
As always, we will miss some serious striking options and I can’t wait for Hardie and Miller to be available again. In the meantime, our goals have to come from our defenders, midfielders and from set pieces. I’d love to see Dolly hold the ball up more effectively to allow our midfielders to link up with him in the opposition’s half. Lawson was fabulous in the middle of the park last week and he’s like a new signing for us. Fingers crossed for us to cause them lots of frustration tomorrow.

Hand on heart think we’re onto a hiding tomorrow but let’s be honest we’re playing a team capable of doing a treble treble. What i can be sure of our boys will give us 100%

Great result this Livi side just never fails surprise Liam Kelly was outstanding today He instigated his head in a head butt movement towards Christie who very professionally ignored the incident which was caught on camera. But should have been a straight red had the ref caught it which would have had an impact on tbe game. The only other issue is we failed yet again to sell out our home allocation but the club sold some of these tickets to Celtic fans not ideal but I guess finances rule. From the game on Thursday where Celtic were absolutely terrific to todays game where we didnt allow them to play Celtic were not great, although they had chances and would have won if it wasnt for the outstanding Kelly. All in all just a great great result but definitely marred by the actions of Menga. One final thing we have a lot of broken seats in the South Stand with Stewards Police alike watching mindless idiots breaking seats as they left at full time.

I could just as easily argue that we would have won if they hadn’t blocked our goal bound efforts & if Bain hadn’t touched Dec’s headers over the bar. Also, Celtic weren’t great because we didn’t allow them the freedom to do what they liked & we gave them something to think about defensively. I know you have said we didn’t allow them to play but you minimise that by saying they weren’t great. The head butt was wrong but it also wasn’t vicious, Christie didn’t even hold his face after it. If Morelos & McGregor can get away with kicking out then Menga should get away with this but we all know he won’t.

Does us not allowing Celtic to play not mean that we did indeed somewhere restrict their freedom or have I missed the point yet again?
As for Menga when you watch it again his reaction after the incident was confrontational towards Christie who was the ultimate professional in his actions.

Fantastic performance today from every single Livi player. Thoroughly deserved the draw. It could have been even better!! Let’s jot be greedy though.
I’ve heard nonsense from Celtic about the pitch and the referee. How much of an advantage do the OF want?!
Whilst Menga will no don’t be suspended retrospectively, correctly, Christie’s tackle in the first half was a shocker and the referee didn’t see it.
Livi were immense all over the pitch. Kelly, the back three, all of the midfielders and Menga were tremendous. I thought Menga’s hold up play was his best so far. Keaghan’s energy and tackling were incredible. Halkett is immense. Wonderful point for the Lions.

A great performance for a well deserved point!
Menga will be likely be hammered for his almost headbutt and probably deservedly so. Stupid to get involved like that!

Just seen the replays on sky sports and sorry nothing in the so called Menga incident for me. no contact made a square up at best. Very hard done by if he gets a ban for that and mcgregor got away with blatantly kicking ajer in old firm game.

Very hard done by if he gets a ban for that and mcgregor got away with blatantly kicking ajer in old firm game. Yep, wasn't so much as a scratch on Christie, he was pushing Menga to get a reaction and got one, surprised he didn't drop like a sack of spuds holding his face pretending he'd been hit. If the CO gets involved offering Menga a ban we should refuse their offer and appeal against it, don't see how you can get banned when there was no contact. We need Dolly for the Sevco game. Another superb performance from our lads in Amber, to a man they put in one hell of a shift. Also thought Keaghan's booking was a joke, he was all over the place putting in well times tackles and that one was no different, absolutely took the ball. The tackle on Menga at the start of the game should've been a yellow card though, but at least the ref was cracking down on defenders putting their hands on Menga and giving us fouls, St Johnstone players got away with that all game. We had them scrambling in their box from our set pieces a few times too, so it wasn't all one sided, on another day we could've sneaked a win, but then Kelly pulled off a cracking couple of saves so a draw was fair enough. That point puts us ahead of Hibs and into 7th place, good weekend all round for us.

I acknowledge you say we didn’t allow them to play BUT you then minimise that by saying they weren’t great; had you said “Celtic were very good on Thursday but we prevented them from reaching that level again” then it would have sounded more complimentary to our side. I don’t disagree that Menga was the aggressor but I disagree on the level of aggression - he was in the wrong but it was handbags & sorry chaps but there was contact, not much but contact nonethelesss.

Maybe from his hair, that's about it. Silly thing to do though, leaves himself open to being put on trial by all the Celtic orientated media and TV pundits. Could easily have been sent off if Christie had acted like Lafferty or Morelos.

Having not witnessed this while at the game , i could not comment - though having now watched it on TV, there does not appear to be anything in it. As for your comment - I would hope Dolly & Livi will be dealt with the same as any other individual or club in this league and not dealt something which is over the top or substantially more than any other.

If it was his intent to hurt Christie he failed miserably. The shoving that went on between the two of them was more physical than Menga's"headbutt".
In saying all that it was an idiotic thing to do. He'll likely get punished but it was stupid conduct as opposed to violent conduct.

Aye, according to this fella Menga has no case to answer for, beats me why a Livi fan would want one of our players punished severely though, esp when it has ben blown up out of proportion. celtsarehere.com/premier-league-ref-dismisses-rodgers-red-card-claim/

I agree completely but (no pun intended) as I said his motion conveys his intent (has nothing to do with the success of that intent) if he had made full contact it could have been very serious & I suspect that is what the “beaks” will look at - & Dermot Gallagher saying it was nothing may just tip it the other way as those same “beaks” try to make the point that an ex-EPL ref has no influence up here.
