Hearing about 800 season tickets so far. Hopefully get up to 1000 and maybe even double last years total. I think we need to get behind Kenny Mille, not get on his back, at least at the beginning, give him a bit of time to bed in.

Absolutely right, I’m not impressed by the appointment but I hope he’s the best novice manager in the country

I understand the anxiety in some quarters because Kenny Miller has no experience as a manager. I recall the same comments when Hoppy was appointed - and that worked out ok. Ian Cathro didn’t work out at Hearts but then plenty of experienced managers don’t guarantee success. Any new manager represents a risk, whether they’re novices or veterans.
Similarly, having a great career on the pitch doesn’t guarantee that he’ll be just as successful as a manager. Plenty have tried and failed.
I have to laugh at those ex-OF players in the press who have “opinions”. So what? They’ve never been managers either. Scott McDonald is the latest one to have a view. Hilarious.
We’re favourites to be relegated so the team talks seem straightforward.
Let’s see what Kenny brings to the squad, to training and to the never-say-die mentality that the squad already possesses. I’m encouraged that his appointment will (albeit at a totally different level) attract players to Livi that otherwise wouldn’t have considered coming to us. That could be the difference between us surviving or not, so I’m my cup is half full rather than half empty.
Season ticket purchased and ready to support the new manager and the new squad as passionately as ever before.

New manager in by next Monday, worth the wait, been there and done it in the SPFL and finished very high with a small budget on a few occasions. I think you should name & shame your source... cos the above post really couldn’t be further from the truth... you’d have been as well saying we are getting Ronaldo to do the job for no money & he’s donating the value of half his worldly goods to the club... it would have been just as accurate.

Aye agentx turned out to be a wind up.
Kenny Miller could do with giving his full attention to being a striker when he's on the pitch and managing when he's off it. Just now he's trying to do both at the same time and it isn't working.

Seems to be a story going about that Kenny Miller has left Livi, bloody hell, wonder what is going on.
Wonder if Hoppy is coming back?

We can only hope that he does nothing against KM as a player but we need someone to manage from the side lines and bring that passion back Hoppy is the man to that IMO.

If it's true that Miller is off, then the new guy will be our 21st manager/head coach, excluding caretakers, since the start of the year 2000. - Ray Stewart
- Jim Leishman
- Marcio Maximo Barcellos
- Davie Hay
- Allan Preston
- Richard Gough
- Paul Lambert
- John Robertson
- Mark Proctor
- Roberto Landi
- Paul Hegarty
- John Murphy
- Gary Bollan
- John Hughes
- Gareth Evans
- Richie Burke
- John McGlynn
- Mark Burchill
- David Hopkin
- Kenny Miller
- The new guy
In case you're wondering who number 12 was: he was an American goalkeeping coach who was appointed permanently by the Italian consortium at the end of the 2008-09 season after Hegarty was suspended and his contract allowed to expire and Davie Hay said he was not interested in a permanent return having served as caretaker during Hegarty's suspension. Murphy only took charge of a couple of friendlies, before being demoted back to his old job when the new owners took over and brought in Bollan. He subsequently left the club altogether a few weeks later.

Not sure about Holt or Skelton. This is a very important season for us, so I would rather see someone with tangible management experience at this level.

New Livingston boss Gary Holt will lean on his assistant as he finds his feetNew Livingston boss Gary Holt will let his number two David Martindale help pick his team to face St Mirren – but he knows the buck stops with him. Holt has taken over from Kenny Miller – who was stood down earlier this week after just two months in charge amid rumours of friction with Martindale. But Holt is happy to work with the existing set-up at Livi and says he will rely on his new right-hand man to see him through the opening weeks of his Almondvale reign. The former Kilmarnock and Norwich midfielder, speaking before Saturday’s trip to Paisley, told Press Association Sport: “I only came in yesterday, I can’t start going, ‘I don’t want him playing or him playing’. “Davie will run it as such, I will have input in certain areas. We’ve mulled over a couple of tweaks. sport.bt.com/football/new-livingston-boss-gary-holt-will-lean-on-his-assistant-as-he-finds-his-feet-S11364291178542

Anybody seen any confirmation that we have a new manager??? It was all over the news & the OSC on Thursday... These articles only said a verbal agreement had been reached and it was hoped he would sign on Friday. The article about St Mirren game on the official site makes reference to his first game in charge but there has been no formal confirmation that he has signed. Normally that is announced st a press conference.
