My Tardis is getting a wee jaunt down the Forth and into Kirkcaldy. Can't wait.

If we get an early goal I think we'll give them a good hiding. An optimistic 4-1 Livi.

Burchy has some serious selection headaches this year. For the first time in a long time we have some proper strength in depth, assuming the squad does not suffer too many injuries and suspensions. My only doubt - early days - is in creative areas. Without Millen charging forward last week and Hippo missing, we didn't look as though we had a lot of creativity. Defensively, we look stronger this year. Last week's back four plus Cole, Millen and Neill gives us real strength. Cole and Neill can also play in DMF. If we have Cole, Hippo, Moses and Glen added to last week's squad, I'd be happy that we have the ability to make an impact on the game from the bench. Would love us to have a bit more width. Maybe Millen and Spas, with Hippo, will provide that as the season progresses. Raith have plenty of changes too. It's anyone's guess how it'll go today. Going there with confidence though. We had two fantastic away days there last season. I'm going 2-1 to us. Sorry Pedro but I hope we're in the shed rather than behind the goal.

Scratching my head after that one. We were by far the better team in the first half without necessarily turning out possession into goal attempts. Unbelievably bad refereeing throughout - and the decision to award them a penalty will be the worst one this season. Incredibly poor from the officials. We changed it and the subs did well but too many below par performances in the second half. I was embarrassed by the appalling language from those more vocal travelling supporters. Every second word was an expletive - truly lacking in imagination and ultimately caused everyone to cringe. I don't mind bad language, frustration and even anger at matches. Its expected. It can be funny and entertaining. But today was excruciatingly bad. These guys need to have a good look at themselves. There are women and children around them. It'll simply result in even fewer fans going to away games, and that will be to the detriment of the team. Come on guys - improve your vocabulary! Have some imagination when you open your mouths. Otherwise you just sound awful - like a tired old touring club comedian who's run out of funny material and has resorted to a torrent of foul-mouthed nonsense that makes the audience feel embarrassed and humiliated.

That was piss poor this afternoon! A shambles all over the park, and in the dugout too. No visible commitment from anyone representing Livi today. We're going backwards!

Raith were extremely lucky to go in 2-0 up in the first half. The penalty decision was very harsh and really just allowed Raith to sit in defending for the rest of the game while attempting to hit us on the break. They managed that in injury time with a decent goal. Hit the bar twice and their goalie made a couple of decent saves. Just a day when we didn't get the breaks.

You'd almost think the league is out to get us. Makes last season's escape & cup win even more remarkable

Otherwise you just sound awful - like a tired old touring club comedian who's run out of funny material and has resorted to a torrent of foul-mouthed nonsense that makes the audience feel embarrassed and humiliated. Yeah I'm no shrinking violet and am prone to the odd expletive in frustration at games but even I was cringing at their language. It wasn't amusing or helpful to the team being told how shite they were every 5 minutes. The seagull song was funny though, they should stick to that standard of humour instead of the extremely annoying PENALTY shout that wore thin after about the 5th time we heard them shout it. One thing that struck me was how different the support was yesterday compared to our last visit there, in fact going back to the Cowden away game where the support was fantastic and both the players and manager mentioned how much of a lift they got from us backing them, it may be worth thinking about that the next time when shouting how shite the players are all game.
On the game itself, actually thought we played ok for large parts of the game, certainly started positively enough forcing corner after corner. Raith got a fortunate break with the ball landing right at Stewarts's feet for their first goal, then the controversial penalty decision, after that we kinda lost our momentum and were hitting high balls towards the strikers which were easily defended, or over hit balls down the flanks. Even though we went in 2-0 down we missed a decent chance with Buchanan getting clean through to hit it straight at the keeper, and a couple of narrow misses past the post.
2nd half we were up against a defensive Raith who were content to try and hit us on the counter with long balls over the top for their striker to chase and you just felt they'd get a 3rd goal. Buchanan had another good chance but failed to connect with his shot and White got his foot on a ball hit into the box only to guide it straight at the keeper. Coe and Glen hit the bar too so wasn't as if we weren't getting chances, just wasn't our day.
I was impressed with Sheerin when he came on and also think Glen did better with Sheerin putting balls over to him, would like to see both starting next week.

Difficult one this one, I was awaiting the comments before I posted anything, however, couple of things:-
1. The language nothing short of embarrassment, especially for the guy who arrived 20 mins into the game after being held up in the farcical bridge traffic with his two young sons, and was quite frankly not only embarrassed but he felt scared for his sons to be sitting amongst us. That`s appalling in it s self. I must admit I have never heard the "c" word used so many times, and I am not a prude in any aspect, but we need to calm down a bit. We used to be known a support with some humour, this was shown when the seagull entertained us for around twenty minutes, as well as an appearance by Mr Rod Stewart. ALSO TO THE GUY THAT EVERY WEEK SOUNDS LIKE A BEACHED WHALE WITH THE SAME OLD CRAP, DO US A FAVOUR MATE, YOU HAVE A VOICE THAT CLEARLY CAN BE HEARD, DIRECT IT TO SUPPORT THE LADS ON THE PITCH, AND NOT AGAINST A GOALKEEPER WHO IN YOUR EYES WAS A "REJECT".
2. On to the game, I have to say at 2-0 down we looked and felt the better side at times, and to be honest I thought we can still get something out of the game, however as it wore on, dear, dear, dear, we looked lack lustre, had no drive, no energy, no direction, indeed most of the team would have had a much better game sitting beside me up in the stand, where the views across the forth were amazing yesterday. There was some show-boating on display from Hippo, which at times as it did last week never came off. I thought at the back we looked very vulnerable, Gallagher again had a poor game as did Cole, I thought for most the midfield laterally were playing inside out, and we need a striker. But we were still the better side, in a lot of the game, loads of possession, but we cannot finish. Agree that Sheerin looks the part. One worrying thing, was the lack of direction from the bench, there was not any, however, first game of the season, QOS on Saturday, a draw would be great here for us to get the campaign started as they are not a club we are expected to take anything from.

After watching the highlights on P&B it pains me to say that it was a penalty. Nonsense that the ref let play go on as long before he gave it though.

I think the goals get put up right away then the highlights follow later on as they take more time to put together. That's how they did it last season anyway.

Actually RR had a good little tool like a magnifying glass to highlight particular incidents - don't seem to have that tool this time.

Also nothing has been posted up on the official site.

Woeful defending for 1st and 3rd; presumably the pen was for handball but it was played straight at him & he doesn't seem to move his hand towards the ball, nor does he appear to have time to move his hands away.
Also, I read somewhere that the 3rd was them breaking away as we pressed forward...not from what I just watched, it was from their own goal kick & us standing off letting them run at us.

Was more luck than bad defending for their first goal, came off White and landed perfectly for Stewart, they got the break of the ball. We were pushing for a goal and Raith got in behind us a few times before they scored their 3rd, doubt that would've happened had we not been chasing the game after a combination of bad finishing on our part and lucky breaks on theirs. Wasn't our best defending with Cole playing RB first half though, that didn't work well at all.

As I recall the first goal was from a free kick that should never have been; that being said why have a forward doing critical defending; basically there were three other defenders around that could have dealt with it; White was just in the way.
Had no idea what the penalty was awarded for at the time; now it appears that it was a handball by Sives but not sure I would really classify his arm as being in an "unnatural position". But there you go; these things happen.
For the third it seemed like we had been besieging their goal for ages, they did score as a result of a goal-kick but I think our guys heads were still up the pitch and some weren't quick enough in getting back.
Its a shame really as the goals package shows a good performance by Raith and a poor one by us; goals aside I would say it was precisely the opposite. Raith were pretty poor but defended in depth; player for player we were better in most departments but couldn't put the ball in the net. For me that is a bit more worrying than if we'd just had a bad day.
