that's 2 wins in 2 cups already. hope it was a good performance.
however I suppose considering the division clyde are in, extra time should not have been required?

Not the best of games today. Didn't see us scoring until we did.

To paraphrase the red faced old boy near me who shouted so many times this afternoon - "that was shite, Livi"!

Good stuff that's going to help them play better right enough.
Thought we did well enough first half and carved out a few decent chances, their keeper made a couple of good saves from headers, and we could easily have gone in a goal or two up but wasn't to be. Second half we dropped off again same as last week but were comfortable enough in defence, think DJ was only troubled once the whole game and had to make a block from a goal bound shot. White had a couple of chances similar to the one he scored with but didn't quite get his eye in, still, he stuck his goal away well so all's good.
Still barely into the season so this was a good result and gets us a bit sharper for the league campaign, it'll take a bit of time for all the young players to gel as a team and gain an understanding but there are signs they're coming together, Gibbons looks a good player and Longridge is coming on nicely, also think Mullen looks a lot stronger than last season.
The injuries in midfield didn't help much today with Glen, Hippo and Cole not able to play, really missed not having them available as we were noticeably struggling to make changes. I thought Sheering did well when he came on though and set up Jordan for his goal.
Hope Hippo is ok for the Raith game next week, bring it on.

We made harder work of that than I thought we would.
Clyde were better than last week but we dipped a fair bit too.
The main thing is that we're through and can concentrate on Raith Rovers now (Ian Black is on trial with them I believe).

I am assuming injuries is why Burchill changed if from last week?
Still getting to grips with our players names lol

As mentioned, Alloa & Dumbarton were both dumped out by lower league opposition so extra-time or not, it's just a case of getting through these games.
Was surprised to see Gallagher go in at right back as that isn't his natural position and I've thought Millen has done well. Wonder if it was a case of underestimating Clyde a touch and using this game as a chance to work on his match fitness. In saying that, I thought he done well - got forward when he could and was solid in the air defensively.
Interesting to see where Cole will fit in when back from injury as Gibbons and Pittman will be tough to drop and you've already got Sives, Gordon, Neill and Gallagher battling it out for centre half. I guess that's a good problem to have though.
Into the hat we go tomorrow and on to the league opener next week now!

We started the game with 3 at the back; Gallagher only went to right back in the second half when Burchill saw that Clyde were starting to get down the flanks; he signalled to Dec & Dec than organised the team by calling Longridge back from his left-mid position to a straight LB. So I think the idea was to mix it up from last week, which worked in the first half to the extent that we dominated & should have been out of sight but for some poor finishing & some fortunate blocking.
We were dominating the first half so much that Gallagher was also able to forage up the right wing a few times leaving Gordon & Sives to stand and chat, read the papers & put their feet up.
I liked the way we played in the first half (apart from the lack of goals); it was very fluid with a number of players interchanging.
