Now that the embargo has been lifted - finally - I thought it would be good to start a thread dedicated to new signings. So far, other than the '3 amigos' of DJ, Scott Pitman and Jordan White, there are no other players in the squad. However, it was tweeted that both Darren Cole and Danny Mullen had agreed to re-sign verbally. Fingers crossed. Also saw on the Scotsman website that the club hopes to secure Keaghan Jacobs too (which would be wonderful).

The club facebook page wished Kyle Jacobs a happy birthday the other day so presumably he's still under contract?

Pesto - can you change my typo on the header please? Fat fingers and bad vision conspired against me.

The club facebook page wished Kyle Jacobs a happy birthday the other day so presumably he's still under contract? Good logic until you read back a few days where they wished Burton O'Brien a happy birthday.

My mate knows gary glen and said that he had signed on for next season/. Thought he'd moved on to Raith - obviously not. Never questioned the guys effort but really thought Beaumont was a better option for a midfielder which, in my opinion, is where he performed best.

I'd rather Dunfermline got Sives and we kept Dycey.

Sives played really well when drafted in for the last half dozen games or so. He was pivotal to us staying up. Defensively he was outstanding and he weighed in with a couple of crucial goals too. I'm delighted he's staying and he merits his new contract. Would have liked Dycey to have stayed too - always 100% commitment from him - but looking forward to seeing who comes in now.

Agreed on Sives; IMO he began well with us, became a bomb scare but came back & did well only to drop out for a few games & then come back in when Cole got suspended. His goals were crucial in the survival fight & he ended up being more than dependable at the back.
Let's face it, if we could have sustained the form & results of the last quarter over the entire season, we would have been challenging for promotion instead of battling relegation, that's how good the team/squad were when it mattered most.
A few clubs came back from the dead last season, Hartlepool, Crystal Palace, Leicester & Livi; and ours was the most dramatic & least talked about.

Dycey moving on should give Darren Moffat his chance at right back - it is overdue IMO. With Sives and Cole as centre backs that leaves us having to find a left back. DJ in goal - we almost have a defence!

.........plus Jordan Lister from Penicuik, I'm hearing. The acquisition of Scott Pitman was evidently excellent so tapping into the best of the junior game may bring further rewards. Certainly hope so.

Certainly hope so. According to Callum Carson: Daily Record reporting Jordan Lister has signed for Livi - Livi saying it's absolutely not true. Asked Gordon Ford re: Jordan Lister - he says club haven't signed him. So there we go!

Could the signing of Jordyn Sheerin from Musselburgh be what Colcal is thinking of?

The article I saw was in the P&J, and mentioned that we'd signed two Jordan's (or at least a Jordan and a Jordyn). Seems you can't believe all you read in the papers........... Happy to wait for the club to make official announcements on players, and that way we'll miss out on any Maurice Johnston incidents!

Great news today about the re-signing of Hippo. Also, the signing of Liam Buchanan adds a serious goal threat and he's a proven striker (and thorn in our side over the years!). Jackson Longridge is predominantly a left back and 20 years old. Having read about him, he looks like a great acquisition too - very highly rated after a successful full season at Stranraer, with Hibs having been keen to grab him in the recent January window. Welcome back Hippo - I'm delighted that you've stayed - and a very warm welcome to Jackson and Liam.

Agree with Colcal; quite pleased with these signings; if Buchanan can score that many for Alloa then he should score even more in a better side. Hadn't heard of Longridge but all reports sound very promising. And delighted to welcome back the Hippo; really came on to a game during the run in & if he gets a lengthy run in the team could prove to be a very decent player.

Getting quite excited about the season now, some established players at this level and others with potential to do very well.
We have an exciting looking attack, just need a defender or three now.
