After 18 years sitting in the main stand with my father, mother, sister and son. I have been today told the some faceless person at the club has decided to re-appropriate our seats for corporate hospitality.
I am afraid for me this is the final straw, I have stuck by the club through all the crap over the last 18 years and was even prepared to trust that the current fiasco and signing ban would be resolved, but this just proves to me that we supporters don't matter.
I have not renewed our five season tickets and will not renew unless the decision is reversed.
So much for lets build a fanbase.

That's such a pity.
Why does hospitality need your seats?
Surely hospitality has seats allocated already?

Someone has just decided to move the hospitality.
As for the stupid 'it is just a plastic seat' comment, you are missing the point. It is just an example of the apathy and contempt that is shown to Livi fans. Did someone contact us and explain the situation? No, it was left to the poor woman on reception in the hope that as usual the fans would just roll over in favor of the boys club with their toy football club.

The current people running this club couldn't care less about Livi fans. There aren't enough fans willing to vote with there feet so they will continue to get away with it. I wont be be handing over a penny either until I know for sure things have changed.

In normal circumstances I would have expected the club to write to you but it seems the records of fans & their seats has been poorly managed, so not surprised that you weren't informed in advance.
My son & I renewed today & the database had us in 4 different seats, the two we occupied last season & two about 9 seats to our left. We only paid for & had 2 ticket books so not sure how this happened, although the two 9 seats to our left is where we used to sit.
I dare say the corporate hospitality seats will probably generate more money than 5 season tickets, so financially it probably makes sense; but in terms of courting a fan base I can understand your anger.

Voting with your feet can only harm the club financially, which is the last thing it actually needs. When it comes down to it the club needs as many fans as possible, so you'd think they would bend over backwards to accommodate the long term season ticket holders but at the same time if they are selling blocks of seats for corporate hospitality & that is generating more money per seat than regular season tickets, then financially its a no brainer & it comes down to whether someone wants to retain their seat or compromise & ensure the club generates as much revenue as it can. IMO the club should not have reallocated geraden's seats without discussing it with them first but assuming the corporate generates more revenue per seat then I can understand the reasoning.

Where you are probably right, they are not adding more hospitality seats they are just moving them. So the net result is a loss in revenue. 5 season tickets, 5 hot drinks and 7 half time draw tickets per match and 3 lotto subscriptions. Great piece of business.

Who ever is running the club at the moment (and I don't know who is) does not have a bloody clue. They need to understand that without fans there is no club. I fully understand your actions Geraden. If they have any sense they will think again on this one.

Likewise, I'm not renewing my Platinum Club ticket until the club tells me if that category still exists.

I've had a reply from the club. As I read it, there is no longer a Platinum Club. - only a "glass box" ticket - whatever that is.
Think I'll just pay at the gate - more revenue lost to the club.
Why was there no mailing from the club which would have been the chance to upsell me (and I presume other Platinum members)? It was the same last year, I had to go to the stadium to find out about renewing my Platinum membership. Marketing communication is woeful!

When I asked about not being able to renew my season ticket in A2 which is now going to be allocated to away fans, I was told at a visit to the stadium ( after 3 emails and a phone call ) they had not received anything fro me!! Apparently the club loses money every time it opens the stand where away fans are normally placed hence the reasoning behind the action and there was a grudgingly half admission that they were catering to the Alloas,Dumbartons and QOS . F alse economy it seems as more people become disgruntled and decide they do not like the way they are being treated and ultimately vote with their feet. It has always been a bit of a rollercoaster ride when you support Livi but if they do not get their act together soon it's going to come to a shuddering halt.

Seats being moved: Sad to report same thing has happened to me, my brother and my dad. Just last week. Despite it being mentioned that if you renewed by end of May you'd get the same seat, my mum took our season tickets down to stadium to renew and was told that our seats had been given away to corporate hospitality. No communication upfront, nothing. Just the person on reception telling her this. Which left my mum (not into football) on the spot being told to pick 3 other seats.
Totally crap really.
Last year I got given 2 different season books for different seats.
Reading all these threads, over a long period of time I just find it incredible that a club can be run so badly for so long. It's not just someone making the odd mistake (which we all do) from time to time. It's just poor practice day in day out by people who seemingly don't really know the basics about any kind of business, let alone a football club.
I can't really understand that there might have been a discussion in the club about moving lots of peoples seats and at no stage did anyone think "Maybe we better tell people". Or worse, someone did think that and was overruled.
