According to the Scotsman (tuesday) players released are Kevin Walker, Sean Rutherford, Michael McKenna, Nij Propratnik and Burton O'Brien. Nothing on Official Livingston website.

Apparently Rutherford, McKenna & O'Brien have all tweeted to that effect since the middle of last week.
McKenna sometimes looked like he could make it & other times looked like he wasn't up to it (compare him with Pitman & Scott looks a much better player) but fair play to him, he made a contribution to the side during the early season good form.
Didn't see enough of Rutherford to form a clear opinion. Seemed a bit unsure going forward & a bit slow but I can't say he let the side down at all when he played, so good luck to him in the future.
O'Brien, the only Livi player to win 2 cup winners medals at the club. A legend. Two very good spells at the club albeit in slightly different roles. Thanks & good wishes to him.

Who were the players that were out of contract at the end of the season?

Who were the players that were out of contract at the end of the season? I'm interested in that as well but as we cannot resign existing players who go out of contract, or new ones , until the signing ban is lifted, it becomes academic.

The whole issue is a farce.

I believe that we have only 3 players who remain in contract at the end of this season - DJ, Pitman and White. Everyone else is out of contract. Whether or not some remain (those that the manager wants to retain) pending successful completion of the ballroom issues so that the embargo can be lifted, remains to be seen The first task is the resolve the dual ownership problem and agree a new deal with Mark Burchill. Then he can settle down and get his own squad together.

In the meantime we all wait for Mr Rankin to sell his shares. Please Mr Rankin, do the decent thing and make an honest club of us.

Who is releasing these players if we haven't even got a contracted manager?

Burchill was on BBC Alba yesterday at the Alloa vs Forfar game talking about his first experience at having to release players so I'm assuming he is.

Ah so we have signed a manager - good start.
Any sign of the promised 4G surface?

What is with the fixation that getting a 4G pitch is some sort of sign of things getting better at the club?
I appreciate there is money to be made hiring the pitch out but is it really that much better?
For me at the moment the priority not be assembling a competitive squad to play on the pitch, be it plastic or grass, for the coming campaign

For me at the moment the priority not be assembling a competitive squad to play on the pitch, be it plastic or grass, for the coming campaign In addition did the club actually "promise" a 4G pitch? I know someone posted that we were going to have one installed but was that someone connected to the club? If that is indeed the intention then I suppose work will have to start relatively soon; as I recall didn't it take Falkirk about 6 weeks to replace their one? Players wise there has been some talk of some players having their contracts renewed but those "contracts" cannot be registered with the authorities until after the ban is lifted. As I imagine many will be off with their families on their summer hols fairly soon its probably best to get the paperwork sorted ASAP.

Just read on Facebook that Jason Talbot has been released. He could be a bit hot headed at times but on the whole I liked Jason. He was a good servant to the club and I wish him well if this is true.

This is not just a reflection on our club but the mire all of Scottish football is in. It needs a person with bigger imagination and alliance to the OF to fix it......oops just seen the mistake which make my suggestion impossible.

Only hope that if we are releasing Jason that we have a replacement that is as good.

So if info on here and elsewhere is correct we have released 9 players.
We do have a club website but that would be the last place to look.
However we only have 3 signed players and according to another poster pre-season is only 2 weeks away.
Another fantastic start to a new season from Livingston FC

I'd be astonished if there wasn't a formal announcement in the next 48 hours confirming that the situation with shares has been resolved, that the SFA transfer embargo has been lifted and the manager has signed a contract to stay. Shortly thereafter there ought to be news about existing players signing on the dotted line - before new players are introduced over the coming fortnight. The lack of any formal or official communication is desperately frustrating, albeit that I understand the club's reluctance to comment until there is genuine news to report. Half stories are no good. Everyone is impatient for information. This is a great chance to get everything into a decent shape before pre-season starts - and that would be something that we've not be used to at Livingston. I'm optimistic............

What are you worried about - everything is fine and will just happen.
Players will arrive, stadium will just be granted its safety certificate, new super experienced directors will arrive, old directors will leave, fans in there 1,000's will renew there season tickets,
Get with the programme and for goodness sake stop worrying.
