Admittedly it's not looking particularly good but it could be so much worse if we'd not picked up 6 points in our last 2 games. So, we've got Rangers (h), Hibs (h), Raith (a) and QoS (h) to go. How many points will we need to stay up, or at least make the play-offs?

Not sure it helps us that Dumbarton have no points in that graphic!

We just need to win as many of the games as we can. If we take the last 3 performances & desire into all of them then we have a great chance

If we can keep the momentum going, no losses in our last 4 games, I believe we can.We need to beat QofS and Raith and a point of either Rangers or Hibs would be a bonus depending on other results for Alloa and Cowdenbeath.

Good that it's in our own hands. I know that the next two games are against against Rangers and Hibs, but 4 wins in our next four games and we stay up, regardless of what Alloa and Cowdenbeath do.
6 points minimum to see us safe. I think 6 points and we'll probably stay up, 5 points and it'll be a play off, and anything less then we'll be going down. If we can take anything off Rangers and Hibs, it's a bonus, but the game against Raith is now HUGE.

Alloa v Cowdenbeath on the last day of the season...so at least one of them will have at least 26 points, we thus need a minimum of 6 points to be 8th on goal difference.
Cowdenbeath also have a home game against Hearts....Hearts & already on the beach, so it is not beyond reason that 'beath might sneak a draw, esp. if they are fired up to make the 10-0 game appear like a fluke result.
Alloa are at home to QoS who need 3 points to guarantee 4th - that could work in our favour & away to Hibs who will still hope to finish second which could also work in our favour...leaving them a must win against 'beath. Our problem is we now have Rangers & Hibs on successive Wednesday's....if we fail to get anything, the confidence gained in the last 3 games might just disappear.
We have a chance but it is slim & we basically need championship winning form to pull it off.

I fear that if we require all 12 points then we may as well pack our suitcases for the beach right now because that's just not really a prospect that's going to happen. It's bonus time versus the Rangers and the Hibs so we should just go into them with all guns blazing and see what's what when the dust settles.

Well that's another point towards staying up but hampered slightly with Alloa also gaining a point in their game yesterday.

Focus does not change. We have to get at least 7 points from our last three games and hope Alloa and Cowdenbeath draw on the last day

If we assume that Alloa & Cowdenbeath will lose to the Edinburgh clubs in their next games then 6 points would guarantee us 9th & frankly I'd accept that quite happily if it was being offered right now.

I'll be dancing all the way to EAA on Wednesday night looking for 3pts.
The club should make it £10/£5 for the QoS game get a huge crowd - may be the crunch game for us with Alloa & Cowdenbeath playing each other.

My fear was of Alloa and Cowden playing out a draw as has been seen in several world cups. Our result against Raith and changes that, Alloa need to beat the "Beth" This means that our fate is now entirely in our hands. So best turnout possible and big cheers all round and leave the heckling if things go wrong like conceding an early goal to after the game. Positive thoughts all day.

So if we win and Cowdenbeath don't it's fat cigars all round then.

Not quite entirely in our own hands, we can't guarantee an 8th place finish by our result alone, we need Cowdenbeath to draw or lose to Alloa coupled with a win for us to get to 8th place. Also, the concept of "its in our own hands" is a little dismissive of our opponents; they will also have a say in how the game pans out.

I think the way it sits as long as we win we escape automatic relegation. WE need a certain result to avoid any form of relegation aftermaths/ playoff. It is not dismissive to QofTS as we are talking about our own performance, and many a commentator has used such a line on the telly anyway.

Yes they have.... they have also said "He just about clears it off the line" (which means he DIDN'T clear it off the line) when in fact the player DID clear it off the line. So they are not a true gauge of good use of the English language never mind the actual physics of how a game of football plays out. When 2 teams are involved it can never be "in our own hands" as the other team could argue the same point which while being just as inaccurate, proves my point.
We could play the best game we have played this season & Queens could have their worst performance of the season & the result of the match could still go against us because such is the nature of football (indeed almost any sport for that matter) thus it is never simply about what we do but also about what they do. Ergo, it is not entirely in our hands.

Interesting that our 3 remaining matches are the same as 3 of the last 4 from last season albeit that this season its away to Queens & home to Raith. If memory serves we got 7 points from the last 4 games last season but with Dumbarton facing Alloa on the final day we probably need all 9 from the last 3 this season. Sadly while we preceded the last four games last season with 2 wins, this season we go in to the last 3 on the back of 2 defeats. We definitely need to win at Dumfries and Dumbarton to lose to maybe just put some pressure on them...but it has now come to the point where finishing 8th would be an even more miraculous outcome than last season.
