So that is us out of another cup. When we are so desperately devoid of funds such an exist to such a team is beyond disappointment. A few more weeks getting results like this and.....well one dreads to think really

We got what we deserved today. Annan were faster, fitter and more eager to win. Weathertston had the best touch of any player on the pitch. Whilst we could have scored 3 in the first 15 minutes, they always looked dangerous and threatening. The only positive was seeing Mensing and Gallagher back amongst the ranks. That has to be good for the coming weeks. Awful performances all over the pitch today. I can't understand why part-time teams - like Annan and Stranraer - look faster and fitter then us. Perhaps we should go part-time. I'm hoping Talbot will be censured by the club for his behaviour at the mistake by DJ for the second goal. Head butt and bust up? Complete embarrassment, which will have destroyed any positivity on the pitch - but filled Annan with confidence. Not what we need from our vice captain. Drop him and bring in Rutherford. Send out a strong message.

Talbot should never ever wear another Livi jersey there I have said it. He embarrassed himself and the club. How many stupid sendings off has he had?
McGlynn should either be given the bullet or walk. What does Burchill really do?
Joke, joke, joke, joke of a club and team
O' and the so called DBM they get more of a disgrace every week. Ban the lot of them

Shambles all round. A team like Livi should be doing much better at this level. Talbot should be fined not the behaviour of a vice captain displayed yesterday. Hope he apologised to DJ.

Did not make the game and by all accounts the performance was on a par with what we have been seeing over the past weeks. However disappointed everyone is I think an element of realism has to be applied. We should do better against lower division clubs but in cups you will always get shocks. There is a limited number of players to call upon , the quality is not that good because with limited and / or no money we could not afford better. Signing ban ensures that we won't recruit any in January unless it is lifted. We all want Livi to do well but I would much rather see us survive in the league than make a few hundred quid on a shared gate at this time. Know nothing about Talbot DJ bust up other than what is on these boards but if any blows were struck the offender should be booted out on his arse. I'ii be at Alloa cheering them on with all digits crossed for a good result. If not then on to o the next game. If we class ourselves as supporters then that is what we should do. The performance and result may not always be to our liking But the players do put in the effort after all their jobs, families are on the line. Let's get behind the team and strangle the constant moaning and negative critisism

I would have love to see him try it with Mensing; would have really brought the wee ned down to earth with a bump - might have made up for his shambles of a performance otherwise.

Does McGlynn think that is good enough?

Part time teams train after work normally at 7 at night. But many will be physically active during their work at times similar to when football is played. We trend to train earlier in the day and are nothe active at the times games are played. There are many forms of conditioning and this version, time condition is particularly important for endurance and power athletes. When this was discussed on the old forum it was stated that the players refuse to train later in the day.

It's a pity the camera doesn't get a better view of Talbot acting like a playground bully! That's not how a captain should behave.

Get rid of him, he always has been a liability. Can tackle, but cant pass to save his life.

Is passing not an improve able skill? So how can any full time player bee not very good at passing? Maybe less play station and golf and more brick wall in the alley. Oh sorry forgot noto allowed to call into question the professionalism of football players and that we are only allowed to idolise their even move.

We were rank rotten and 3-2 flattered us. Annan could and should have had a couple more.
Talbot was an embarrassment. Vice captain? No danger.

The defence has most to blame for that defeat. yes the attackers had many chances, should have scored more nut their goal 2 and 3 was down to poor marking and poor positioning.

John McGlynn rues Livi’s lack of mental strengthSimon Mensing, in blue, making his first Livingston appearance in more than six months, clears the ball from dangerLivingston manager John McGlynn was left in a state of disbelief as his side crashed out of the Scottish Cup in a match they had threatened to overrun their lower league opponents Annan Athletic. The Lions made the long trip to Galabank for Saturday’s third-round clash and were quick out the traps, gaining the early initiative through Keaghan Jacobs’ fine finish after just 13 minutes. But Peter Weatherson’s leveller just seven minutes later simply knocked the stuffing out of a Livingston side that were unable to re-establish a foothold in a match they eventually surrendered 3-2. “We’ve got to be mentally stronger that when we lose the first goal we don’t lose the way we’re playing beforehand,” a disappointed McGlynn stressed afterwards. “If we’d continued to play the way we had been I think we would have been okay. “We had a great start – let’s put it that way. We were well on top and could easily have been two or three up by the time they scored their first goal. We lost our way after they equalised, which is really disappointing as we were so far on top. Losing one goal shouldn’t have really knocked us off our stride but it did. We should have been out of sight by half-time.” www.edinburghnews.scotsman.com/sport/football/livingston/john-mcglynn-rues-livi-s-lack-of-mental-strength-1-3592139

I have waited some days now not too vent my anger.
Having traveled down to Annan and after watching the first 20 minutes I thought we were well on top.
The roof caved in and what followed was diabolical in every department. From the thugs that call them selves DBM to the quite appalling standard of football on the park.
I expect this type og game in the championship where we scrap against the teams that matter, Cowdenbeath, Alloa, Dunbarton....that is our level 8th in the league happy days, but we are better than Annan, at least on paper.
Sorry John, you are a great guy, done a lot of things in the club, but Saturday will be your last game.
