Was speaking with a mate who works down at Livi and he was saying that big Coll is a cracking player and fancies him to go far in football. Good to see us tie him up and hopefully he'll be the next one to break into the first team.

Sounds like a decent prospect for Livi

I haven't seen much of this lad, but hopefully he'll come through. I can't think of too many good home grown defenders from our academy, apart from Cammy MacDonald. Speaking of which, where is he these days?

Not sure if it's boys havig a wind up but going by twitter, it seems as if Coll is going down south today for a weeks trial with Man Utd? That was confirmed at the FF last night. After a string of top performances in bounce matches against Rangers/Hibs/St Johnstone, the club got a phone clal asking if Coll could go down to Carrington for a weeks training with United.

According to today's Daily Record, Harry Redknapp/QPR have offered us in the region of £150,000 to take Coll down there. www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-transfer-news/english-championship-big-guns-qpr-2974452Assuming there'd be a number of add-ons involved with that deal aswell as some sort of sell-on clause, then I reckon we're not an a position to knock that back. If Mampuya is back to full fitness, then a backline of him, Mensing, Dycey and Talbot isn't all that bad if we do lose Coll.

Agree with most of that; £150k for an 18 year old with lots of potential is a decent bid.

£150,000 isn't much in the grand scheme of things. Fair enough he's only 18 but he's a first team player and if he goes he'll need to be replaced which sees a chunk out of the cash right away unless we buy cheap or promote a lesser player. Either way the team is weakened.

I can't see us using any transfer fees to then buy new players. Can only imagine we'd promote one of the youth guys or try and bring someone in for free. I'd imagine near on every penny that comes in for any current players would go towards clearing debts.

www.livingstonfc.co.uk/news/news_20140128_1.phpCracking move for Coll and a good bit of money in for us. Can only imagine he'll improve at an even quicker rate playing down there and there's potential to see him up in the Premiership next season as QPR are sitting high up the Championship table. Good luck!
