Championship will be a game of patience warns Hearts coachtevie Crawford is appealing for patience from Hearts fans tomorrow as the Edinburgh club aim to open a six-point gap at the top of the Scottish Premiership. Livingston are the visitors to Tynecastle and Crawford, Hearts’ assistant coach, warned that the match will not be the formality some might expect for the unbeaten league leaders. Seventeen goals in six league games indicates the firepower available to head coach Robbie Neilson. A home win tomorrow could create a six-point chasm at the top of the table, depending on Raith Rovers’ result against Falkirk at Stark’s Park. They sit in third place, four points behind Hearts, with Rangers second and three points behind. The Glasgow club face Hibs at Ibrox on Monday night. Crawford is pleased with the momentum built up by Hearts in league fixtures so far but cautioned that Livingston should not be considered a straightforward opponent. They beat the Tynecastle side 4-1 at Almondvale in the Petrofac Training Cup last month, albeit Hearts fielded a team mainly of fringe players and teenagers that night. www.edinburghnews.scotsman.com/sport/football/hearts/championship-will-be-a-game-of-patience-warns-hearts-coach-1-3554886

Hearts 5-0 Livingston: Superb Jambos crush LionsHEARTS extend their lead at the top of the Scottish Championship after a scintillating performance against Livingston. Scorers: El Hassnaoui 14, Walker 30, Sow 43 & 90, Keatings 87 The hosts opened the scoring early and were comfortably in front at the half time break. The final margin of victory would have been much greater were it not for some terrific stops from Livingston keeper Darren Jamieson. www.scotsman.com/sport/football/spfl-lower-divisions/hearts-5-0-livingston-superb-jambos-crush-lions-1-3555701

Hearts 5, Livingston 0: Rampant Jambos rout LionsHearts moved six points clear of Rangers at the top of the SPFL Championship after cruising to victory over Livingston. With the Ibrox club inactive until tomorrow night against Hibs, their Edinburgh rivals took full advantage. Soufian El Hassnaoui’s first Hearts goal complemented a Jamie Walker strike, an Osman Sow double and one from substitute James Keatings to produce a comfortable win. BBC Alba’s cameras were at Tynecastle to broadcast this match live and their viewers saw a powerful home performance overwhelm Livingston in the first half. Hearts were 3-0 ahead and in full command by the interval. The result also intensified the pressure on Rangers to win their encounter against Hibs to keep pace at the league summit. The West Lothian club contributed to their own downfall with poor defending and allowing their opponents too much time in the final third. It was not what manager John McGlynn, returning to his former employers for the first time, wanted to see. www.edinburghnews.scotsman.com/sport/football/hearts/hearts-5-livingston-0-rampant-jambos-rout-lions-1-3555698

FFS that was awful & McGlynn needs to take some blame in this not just the players.
Where to start,....
Gary Glen - striker - don't make me p!sh ma pants. 12 games no goals.
Why the hell Rutherford never came on for Talbot. Was the hair in McGlynn's eyes
The majority of the team were awful with DJ not allowing it to become double figures.

I think we were bettered by a great young Hearts team that didn't, at any time in the match, allow us the opportunity to impose ourselves on the game.
DJ was our MotM by a country mile - he played an absolute blinder with at least 4 or 5 terrific saves.
I wish it wasn't The Rangers up next but I'd be happy if we at least tried to get tore in about them. They didn't look too clever last night against the Hibs. Best song of the night by the Hibs fans - You're not Rangers any more! Ha ha!
