Livingston 0-1 Raith Rovers: Scott haunts LiviMARTIN Scott’s first goal for Raith Rovers was enough to earn the visitors a deserved three points against his former club. Scott spent the 2013-14 season with Livingston, scoring five times, but his impressive form in a gold shirt hadn’t yet transferred to Kirkcaldy. Yesterday’s performance was more of what Championship crowds have come to expect from the bustling midfielder, who enthusiastically supported the strikers from kick-off and got his reward on 15 minutes. Drifting inside from an unfamiliar role on the right, Scott controlled Ryan Conroy’s pass before flicking the ball past the advancing Darren Jamieson. He then decided against the recent trend of players refusing to celebrate against their former clubs by tearing away down the sideline and embracing his new boss Grant Murray. “He certainly enjoyed it, but then Jimmy [Scott] loves his football,” said a smiling Murray after the match. “We stressed the importance of getting ourselves ahead. Once we had done that I think it gave us the belief needed. The pressure that we had to deal with I thought we dealt with it well, and we could have caught Livingston a couple of times on the break.” www.scotsman.com/sport/football/spfl-lower-divisions/livingston-0-1-raith-rovers-scott-haunts-livi-1-3547987

Livingston 0-1 Raith RoversMartin Scott's first-half goal gave Raith Rovers a narrow Scottish Championship victory against Livingston at Almondvale. Scott connected with Ryan Conroy's pass to edge Raith in front. The visitors had a chance to double their lead after Craig Sives fouled Christian Nade in the penalty area but Calum Elliot's spot-kick was saved. Livi pressed for a leveller in the second half but Jordan White's stoppage-time header was blocked. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/29187496

We can’t always rely on Jordan to be our go-to-manLivingston manager John McGlynn has urged his players to start converting their chances an alleviate some of the pressure on striker Jordan White, who is the Championship’s leading marksman. The former Stirling Albion frontman, 22, has taken to life at the Energy Assets Arena by storm netting five in six league encounters this season, not to mention a hat-trick in last weekend’s 4-0 thrashing of Alloa. However, the Lions lost their 100 per cent home record on Saturday as McGlynn’s former employers Raith Rovers earned a smash-and-grab victory courtesy of former Livi and Hibs midfielder Martin Scott’s first-half strike. White himself, Kyle Jacobs and Burton O’Brien all went close for the hosts in the opening half but were unable to turn their superiority into goals – an all too similar trait of the second 45, much to McGlynn’s dismay. Former Hearts striker Gary Glen has also so far failed to find the net since his summer move from Ross County, but his manager isn’t overly concerned by that statistic. “We don’t want to put the onus all on Jordan, that’s for sure,” McGlynn stressed. “It’s nice he’s scored so many so early in the season which will have helped his confidence. But I don’t want it to be like last year where if Marc McNulty didn’t score then we didn’t. I don’t want that situation so I want the others to join in. www.edinburghnews.scotsman.com/sport/football/livingston/livi-boss-we-can-t-always-rely-on-jordan-to-be-our-go-to-man-1-3548374
