Livingston’s Myles Hippolyte staying with Hibs-daft familyMyles Hippolyte knows he faces an arduous couple of weeks should he break his league duck for new club Livingston in the Championship opener against Hibs at Easter Road tomorrow. The 19-year-old Englishman arrived north of the border to put pen to paper last month and has already got off the mark, netting for the Lions in the Petrofac Training Cup first-round 4-3 victory over Queen of the South almost two weeks ago. However, the league is his bread and butter and should he find a way past Mark Oxley in the Hibs goal tomorrow, the former Brentford striker fears a backlash from the Hibs-supporting family he’s currently residing with in West Lothian. Asked if he will be allowed to step foot in the front door upon his arrival home, Hippolyte said: “I would certainly hope so! We’ll just have to see how it goes though. We have discussed it but they want me to do my best. They’re a remake of my own family to be honest as I get on with them really well. They want me to score, but, at the same time, not to beat Hibs. “They’ll be there tomorrow, but they’ll be in the Hibs end. If I do score, I will probably try and be a bit more subtle about it!” www.edinburghnews.scotsman.com/sport/football/livingston/livingston-s-myles-hippolyte-staying-with-hibs-daft-family-1-3503449

The older Hibs fan could do with losing a pound or two! Hopefully we'll not get beat. Maybe even score a goal. (fingers crossed)

Is it just me, or are Hibs pretty rotten?
If we just get rid of Danny Mulle,n Fordyce and White we could actually be pretty reasonable. How Mullen, and White managed to start I'll never know. If we are going to play balls up to White to hold up, I expect him to take it in atleast once the whole game. It doesn't work. Won a few headers, but into feet or chest and he's as useless as Mullen is with a penalty.
Looking forward to Mensing and Gallacher as a pairing. Sives, and Fordyce should get dragged away from any first team plans.
Can't we get players like McKenna from the juniors instead of total diddys from the Youth squad?

Is it just me, or are Hibs pretty rotten? Yeah, they're no great shakes. That's what was most disappointing. The fact that we never really put them under any real pressure for any length of time. You could see them wilt when we scored (they'd been pish all 2nd half up until then too), but other than substitutions there was no real change to our play that I could see. A bit more fire in our belly and I really think we'd have pulled another one back. Oh well. Beaten by a lucky bounce.

Hibernian goalkeeper Mark Oxley scores winner on debut v Livingston! The Scottish Championship (second division) could well be a lot more intriguing than the top flight in 2014/2015. Three of Scotland’s biggest clubs have found themselves in the Championship, including Rangers, Hibernian and Hearts. On Saturday, Hibernian got off to a flyer, beating Livingston 2-1 thanks to two goals in the first twenty minutes. Striker Farid El Alagui got things rolling on 16 minutes and three minutes later it was 2-0. Mark Oxley, a 23-year-old goalkeeper from England, took a long punt downfield that evaded everyone, including Livingston custodian Darren Jamieson. Cue wild scenes. It was Oxley’s first ever goal, on debut for Hibernian! www.101greatgoals.com/blog/hibernian-goalkeeper-mark-oxley-scores-winner-on-debut-v-livingston/

We were much better in the second half but that wouldn't have been hard. We were surprised that Keeghan was playing as he's not been in the team in the pre season games. DJ shouldn't worry at all about that freak goal. Chin up young man!

That's actually a better goal than I remembered. Well taken free kick! The goalies goal was just one of they things. Hope DJ doesn't read too much into it. Their goalie has been a bit of a pr*ck about it in his interviews in the papers and online though. Hope he let's in 5 next week against Hearts (and every other week too)!
