After being named as a substitute against Queens on Sat, I noticed on twitter yesterday that goalkeeper Paul Grant has signed for us.

"@bobogrant Delighted to have signed for Livingston today, can't wait to get started properly now!"

He made 1 appearance for Hibs at the end of the 12/13 season before spending half of last season on loan at Berwick. He was released by Hibs in May and has now signed for us.

I wonder if that means that Kevin Walker's injury is a bad one ruling him out for a while otherwise I'm not sure why we'd need 3 keepers in the first team?

Livingston sign keeper Grant

Livingston have signed former Hibernian keeper Paul Grant until January to provide cover for No 1 Darren Jamieson.

The 21-year-old, who spent time on loan at Berwick Rangers last season, left Easter Road in the summer.

Livingston boss John McGlynn told the club website: "We really need some experienced back-up to see us through until January, when hopefully Kevin Walker will be ready for selection. Paul will also give Darren some competition for the jersey into the bargain."

Meanwhile, Livi hope to have midfielder Keaghan Jacobs back after injury at some point during August.

To be honest, Hack, I've not seen him in action or witnessed him playing in a game.

I'm sure you're no at your best in the warm-up too.

All I could find was this quote - "Grant moved on loan to Berwick Rangers in July 2013. Berwick manager Ian Little said in September that he thought Grant had been "terrific" and that he would look to extend the loan agreement with Hibernian."
