I seen on the Official Site that the Challenge Cup has been renamed the Petrofac Training Cup after Petrofac Training Services became the new sponsors of the competition. www.livingstonfc.co.uk/news/news_20140701_1.phpThe draw for the first round is at 2pm today at Easter Road. We're in the South Section so will be drawn against one of the following - Airdrieonians Albion Rovers Annan Athletic Ayr United Berwick Rangers Clyde Dumbarton Hearts Hibs Morton QOTS Queen's Park The Rangers Spartans Stranraer First round tie likely to be played on Saturday 26th July. Obviously Hearts, Hibs or The Rangers are the games that would likely generate the most money but given we'll be playing them at least four times this season already, I'd much prefer an away trip to either Berwick, Spartans or Stranraer. Really though, aslong as we avoid the Championship teams, Morton and Ayr, I'll be quite happy.

I'd quite like a wee trip to Annan again - really enjoyed it there a couple of seasons back. Although, a home game against Hibs would be good too especially if we dumped them out the cup then beat them in the first league too! :-D

We've been drawn away to Queen of the South.
Horrible tie.

Scottish Challenge Cup: Hearts drawn to face LivingstonHearts will visit nearby Livingston in Scottish Challenge Cup round two. The winner of Rangers' home first-round tie against Hibernian will host Clyde while Falkirk will visit either Dunfermline or Raith Rovers. Brora Rangers, who stunned Stenhousemuir in round one, will entertain East Fife. Peterhead visit Brechin City, Stirling Albion host Alloa Athletic, Berwick Rangers are Morton's visitors and Stranraer welcome Albion Rovers. The ties will be played on the evenings of Tuesday 19 and Wednesday 20 August. Rangers' first-round tie had been postponed due to Ibrox Stadium's use as a Commonwealth Games while Dunfermline v Raith Rovers was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/28548082

Delighted to get through the QOTS tie - didn't expect us to be in the hat for this round if I'm being totally honest.
Hearts at home - nice tie, probably a better than usual crowd but again, right up against it. The whole underdog tag might suit us this season though so looking forward to this one. Pressure will be on Hearts to get a result, especially given the fact one of The Rangers or Hibs will crash out next week too so hopefully we can take advantage of some nerves on the night.

Hearts cup game confirmed for Wednesday 20th August. I reckon it might be on TV depending on the The Rangers vs Hibs result this week. They've said that the The Rangers or Hibs vs Clyde tie will either be the Tues or Wed depending on the outcome of the first round game. Can only assume this means if The Rangers win, their tie vs Clyde will be on the box on the Wed so they can do a big Hun fest about Barry Ferguson returning to Ibrox with his Clyde side. However, if Hibs win, I think that game will be on the Tuesday and us vs Hearts will be the TV game on the Wed.
