Do we have a natural successor already at the club to Sparky, or would this mean a new guy in instead? I'm not sure young Mullen is quite there yet.
Barrowman is still with us next season, isn't he? He's not the same type of player as Sparky but we've still missed him, I think, when he's been out injured.

Don't think we have any natural successors at the club for any position at the moment. The conveyor belt of young talent seems to have stopped for a breather although McGlynn's comments in the Courier regarding such is suggestive of more coming through in the future.
If we get a decent fee for McNulty then it may go some way to financing a move for a decent lower league striker looking to step up a division.
I agree that Barrowman is a miss but I thought his contract was up at the end of the season?
Mullen is a very decent prospect as his goal last week proved but is probably behind where McNulty was at the same age.

I was wondering how much a club would get for a player like McNulty based on development costs. He would still be classed a young player even if he left under freedom of contract at the end of next season.
I think this should have a bearing on what the club should get/request fee wise.
Transfermarket.com has him valued at £200,000.00 so I would be looking for at least that, any less and you stand to lose out, by that I mean you don't score goals in a league (Look at Hibs) and we could slip a good few places in the league next year. Short term profit could be long term loss.

This piece in last weeks WLC reads to me like he'll be offski over the summer. www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/west-lothian-livingston-striker-marcmcnulty-3512145I think, for his own good, he's got to go this summer. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to keep him but if he doesn't bang them in next season, he'd mayeb miss the chance for a decent move. Lyle Taylor was on-loan at Partick this season from Sheff Utd and if McNulty went down there and taylor returns too, could see those two forming a fantastic partnership with Scougall in behind.

Hope he does as well as Scouggs has done for them....wish they'd both gone to Leeds but maybe they didn't fancy another mad Italian owner.
