McGlynn to retain the same starting XI from last week. To bring on Danny Denholm earlier. A shoot on sight policy and a quicker back to front attack ethos. The last time up here did not some drummers get ejected? Hope there's no repeat of that or the alleged songs from last week either.

We were saying the other night that it's time for wee Scougall to really make his mark on a game and this would be perfect for him and Keaghan to show off what they can do. Let's hope we give it a good go tomorrow!!

ooh I so want a positive match where we beat up the SPL team but I fear we're just not quite up to it on this occasion. I have an inkling that if we score that they'll score one more than us. Close, but no cigar.

From this move, after half an hour, Sparky (off screen to the near right) slots home the 'equaliser' from a tight angle. The ref chalks the 'goal' off and brings the play back after an offside flag by the linesman. St Johnstone 2-0 Livingston Scottish Cup Sat 30th Nov '13

Oh well, it wasn't to be this year. That offside goal might have made a difference to there minds near the end because we really had some good chances but there goalie was on top form. We thought that May and other St Johnstone players went down too easy but Danny Denholm got booked after getting tripped and immediately springing back to his feet. Crazy from the ref so no change there. Not disgraced at all. Good luck to St Johnstone but stay on your feet!

No highlights yet. Will be interesting to see our offside goal and their keepers many acrobatic saves again.

If both teams had taken all their chances, we'd have won the game.
We were sloppy for long spells in the first half but certainly dominated the last 20 or so minutes and deserved at least a goal. Shame that the 'offside goal' looks to have been onside as that could have really changed the game. We missed umpteen chances late on - Sparky had three, Dycey put one wide and Mensing hit the bar. Why Sparky didn't roll the ball to Burchill for a tap in near the end is beyond me - just a wee bit too greedy. Had Burchill tapped in to make it 2-1 and with us full of momentum, those last 5 minutes could have been a bit squeaky for St J.
Not disgraced by any means but a shame we didn't make more of our chances.
Another big game this weekend - hopefully back to winning ways!

Why is the ref in the wrong position? he should be running a diagonal between the two corner flags not touched by linesmen.

The highlights show that we were quite unlucky not to score but also to take something from the game too.
We upped it after the break and on another day, with a wee bit better finishing/luck, could easily have scored 2, 3 or more. That said they could have too.
Over the piece we played some nice stuff but the killer for us was giving away, on the face of it, soft goals.
Oor young keeper, Walker, will be disappointed.
