Breaking news statement from the SDS website - www.scottishfans.org/News/livingstonfcupdate.aspx"Supporters Direct Scotland have been involved in a series of meetings at Livingston FC over the past week to try to help with the recent financial difficulties at the club.
We are delighted to report that following a series of meetings this morning, that the immediate future of the club has been safeguarded and that new investment and a restructured Board, will follow in the coming weeks. Paul Goodwin Head of Supporters Direct in Scotland said, “It is encouraging to see that the recent difficulties at the club have been resolved and that further investment will now come into the club to secure its future. We will continue to work with the club and the Livi for Life Supporters Trust to ensure that the club has a long term sustainable future and that fans have Board representation."

Future has been safeguarded? Restructured board? Who the f*ck is Paul Goodwin and why is this the first we've really heard of all this? And another thing, what's the point of having a fan on the board if the board can still walk the club up a dark alley to within days of yet another administration?

This has been on the go at least since the middle of October possibly longer, Ged Nixon's departure from the board thread is basically the background to the Supporter's Direct involvement
