Is Talbot available for this one?
Truth be told, I hope he's not as McGlynn needs to knock the stupidness right out of him.
That said, if Talbot goes to see him in the managers office he'll probably boot the door down studs first.
Anyway, we should be looking to beat a part time team from fife.

Don't think I've ever seen a) a defender score a hat-trick or b) anyone score a hat-trick of headers. He's already grabbed two from corners this season though so he's an obvious threat in there. Hopefully there's many more of them to come. He's actually the joint top scorer for the league right now!
Poor first-half - some slack passing and poor ball retention meant Cowdenbeath were more involved than they probably should have been. That's two league games in a row where we've had to go behind before switching on. Still, great credit to fight back and dominate the game into the second half.
Good to see Burchill get his first goal for us aswell as Barrowman getting his first goal at home. Jimmy could have helped himself to a couple at the end two but was unlucky.
2 wins and a draw since we've been able to pick from a full compliment. Think it was always going to be the case that we'd be strugglign until we got Scougs, O'Brien, Keaghan and Sparky back into the side. We were still arguably missing two starters in Mampuya and Talbot so good to see us winning so convincingly. Also good to see us having some options on the bench in Denholm, Wilkie and Burchill as opposed to filling spaces with kids just to have a full 18.
With Alloa beating Hamilton on Saturday, it's meant the league has become even tighter. Despite our poor start, we're only 3 points off the play-offs and a win on Saturday would see us only five off the top. Just shows what a wee run of results can do for you.
Looking forward to Hamilton more now than I was a few weeks ago - hopefully we go and give them a game and continue our decent form.

From where I was sitting there were plenty of positives but still stuff to work on. The DBM had expanded their repertoire after their encounter with the Motherwell drummers, but the crowd size overall was disappointing. We conceded first, following a pattern from last season but we now win those games. We used to be a bit powder puff at corners but are now scoring at them. I heard a pipe band but did not see them on the pitch?? was it just a tease? Yes we are now moving in the right direction and long must it continue.

Brilliant win on Saturday! Hopefully the guys are starting to feel a bit more relaxed as we pick up points and will keep this good run going.
Obviously the return of the injured players has boosted us but it has also came at the same time as Jimmy Scott upping his game. I wasn't sure if I liked him or not at the very start of the season but the last few games he's really stepped up and used his experience at times and that benefits the whole team when they see him looking composed. Would have been nice if he'd taken one (or both!) of the chances he had near the end and really turned it in to a hammering!
LiviLion21 mentioned the fact we were missing the two full backs but I'm not so sure they'll just walk back in. One of them may come in for young McDonald but I'm not sure who from Mensing, Fordyce or Donaldson would get dropped to accomodate the second of the two. That's a better headache for MGlynn to have than the injury nightmare Burke faced!
At least we're going to Hamilton with a bit of confidence now. They won't be as good as Motherwell were so if we can put in a shift similar to the one we offered that night, we might just find ourselves closing the gap between ourselves and the top. Come on the Livi!

Talking to a few other match attendees, they seem to be stating a disappointment with the standards of the Almondvale suite recently. Is anyone else having issues? Last Saturday we dined up the town before the game so am not able to pass judgement.

I had a cup of soup and a buttered roll in the AS before the Motherwell game and it was really, really good. I did notice that there was only a choice of soup or macaroni that night though and the cutlery was all wooden or plastic.

We don't eat in their anymore. Too expensive and to be honest it seems a bit dirty/grimy. Or it did before we stopped using it anyway.
