Enough of the anti Burke nonsense for a while, please! Scotland are playing tonight, so come on Scotland! Gerrintaethum!

The last couple of performances were more inspirational than at the start of the campaign. Hopefully improvement can continue. Failure to perform tonight after the shift put in against England would be interesting and a starter for a conversation.

Firstly they won. There is still room for improvement, in particular much of our play is reactionary in nature and the new winger needs forwards that can anticipate his runs and balls. (I assume that playing for Hibs for so long, the striker we used last night has lost that) That failing was evident for the goal we conceded, where ball watching not preempting cost us a goal. Carry on the good work boys,

I think Strachan's got to be given a good bit of credit for what he's done so far. Away wins in Croatia and Macedonia aren't givens so huge credit for picking up full points there. A good display at Wembley where we got up and at them and didn't sit back in a 4-6-0 formation and let them dictate the game. I actually thought we played well at home to Belgium too but they're definitely a side who'll be pushing their way into the top sides in the next few years.
This campaign was a write off before GS took over but having seen what he's trying to do and some of the results we've picked up, I think there's room for positivity ahead of the next set of qualifiers.
