From the EBC -
Hearts will go into administration within the next 24 hours.
Papers have been lodged with the court of session in Edinburgh to formally begin the process.
KPMG will be the company taking on the administration of the troubled Tynecastle club, while staff have been informed of the situation. If Hearts remain in administration by the opening of season 2013-14 in August, a points deduction of 15 points would be incurred.
Players were not paid last week as Hearts continue to struggle with a cash shortfall. That followed the threat of a winding-up order after Revenue and Customs threatened action over an unpaid £100,000 tax bill, although the majority of that sum has been paid. Hearts owe £15m to Ukio Bankas, which has been declared bankrupt.
In addition, another £10m is due to the club's Lithuanian parent company, UBIG, which is claiming insolvency.

Can't say it's not been on the cards for a long time.
Hope they pull through but there's a chance that some serious money will be required in order to do so.

Hearts have been living outwith their means for years now so it's no surprise that it's come to this - arguably could/should possibly have happened sooner. On the news it says a points deduction is likely for next season if they survive the summer. They better hope that Massone isn't hovering about. He'd be the end of them!

Got to be certs for relegation next season. I'd bite your arm off for two trips to Tynecastle the season after.
Though obviously I'd rather miss them through promotion.

'k them. Sporting integrity and all that.
High chance that come the 2014/2015 season, both Hearts and The Rangers will be in the first division/championship/second tier.

Talking to a jambo today at work and he's worried over the sale of Tynecastle. He was suggesting that they may look to share/rent Almondvale from/with us.
Is Almondvale still owned by the council? Can't see us gaining anything out of it if we don't get some of the rent money.
Probably wont happen though.

It's an asset that has value. They've no money, so selling it for hard cash to fund a CVA might be an option for them.
If they wanted to groundshare Almondvale for a season or two then I wouldn't have an issue with that, as long as their new owners paid their rent in advance.

I know the pitch is good, but I'd be very surprised if it could withstand Livi games, Hearts games and Hibs U20s games in quick succession.
With Hearts' administrator being the same guy who took charge of Portsmouth, I think it's safe to say that this administration will be a long one!

You'd think that we'd show Hibs stiffs the door if Hearts wanted to bring their 1st XI, surely? Hibs will probably jinx the pitch anyway. Bunch of losers that they are.
