Bobby Barr Back at Glebe Park

Brechin City boss Ray McKinnon has brought off a major signing coup by convincing former East Fife and Livingston midfielder Bobby Barr to sign for the club.

The manager faced competition from several SFL clubs who were keen to sign the left-sided midfielder and it is great news for City supporters that he has decided to sign up at Glebe Park.

Bobby spent a period on loan at the club when Jim Duffy was manager and the City fans will remember him well from last season when he scored a cracking goal for his former club in the 2-2 draw at Bayview.

Well I thought he might have came back to us but clearly not. Maybe he is looking for the security of a deal no matter where it is. I think a lot of clubs will be finding it hard to fund player purchases this summer so he's done well to get signed up at brechin. All the best Bobby!

I remember folk suggesting he'd get a move to the SPL or get a move to Thistle on their way up not so long ago too. He's a player I enjoyed watching at Livi and he's definitely a talented guy but that's two clubs he's left now after fallouts behind closed doors and will now spend another season in the second division.

Good luck to him at Brechin. It'd be great to see him do well and work his way back up the leagues.

I'd have him back in a flash. Sounds as if our signing of Danny Denholm is almost an attempt at replacing the wee man.

Hope things work out for him and if there is some sort of attitude issue there, then maybe he just needs a manager who's able to help him rather than turf him out.
