The story on the OS also states that Callum Booth has signed a pre-contract, however I'm assuming that should say Calum Elliot!

He's a big lad but not the quickest I think. He's no spring chicken either. Can't imagine much silky one touch pass and go Barcelona type football with him in the team. lol

OS now says Elliot.
Mensing is a better player than he gets credit for. He was pretty dominant for Raith when they won at the Vale in the last game & is playing at the back now rather than in midfield.
The signings so far suggest a more rugged approach, so perhaps the current management have had enough of self inflicted wounds from not clearing the ball when under pressure.
The side is starting to take shape but I'd like to see a few more of the current squad renewing contracts.

I'm happy with the Mensing signing. Think he's a solid, no-nonsense player who'll go straight in to the heart of our defence - depending on what happens with O'Brien, he could be another shout for captain.
Team starting to take shape now...
..............Elliot.......Burchill.............. ............Scougall.....Keags............... Talbot..Mensing..Dycey..Donaldson .................. ...DJ...........................
A couple of wingers and we've got the makings of a decent side there.

Livingston confirm the signing of Simon Mensing
LIVINGSTON have completed the signing of former St Johnstone and Hamilton defender Simon Mensing, who has put pen to paper on a two-year deal at Almondvale following his move from Raith Rovers.
The 30-year-old becomes the West Lothian club’s second signing of the close season, following Alloa striker Callum Elliot’s decision to sign a pre-contract agreement.
Mensing, who made 32 appearances for the Stark’s Park side last season, netting two goals, told Livingston’s official website that he was looking forward to joining up with the young squad.
He said: “Having spoken to the management team, I was impressed with their vision for the club, where they want to take it, and the type of football they want to play.
“I’m already looking forward to getting started in a few weeks time.”
