Scottish dates for Millers THE Millers are to add an extra phyiscal edge to their pre-season build-up by touring Scotland.
They will spend a week in Steve Evans' homeland for matches against Morton on Tuesday, July 9, Livingston on Wednesday, July 10 and Ayr United on Saturday, July 13.
The squad then return on the Sunday ready for their first friendly at the New York Stadium the following Tuesday against a top Championship club due to be announced later today.

Given the are due to play Morton on the 9th and us on the 10th wonder if we will get to see their second XI or if it will be one of those games were everyone changes at half time

It will be a game where you've wondered why you've paid £5, £10 or £15. Waste of time for the fan.

Of course if you buy a season ticket, it'll be included in the price ;-)
See Sheffield United are coming up to play Cowdenbeath too - wouldn't be a bad shout to have them along at the 'Vale too.
Already can't wait for the contract news, pre-season friendles announced, fixture list relaeased, opening cup draws! Bring it on!

www.wolves.co.uk/news/article/livingston-040613-853760.aspxNorth of the border friendly announced
Wolves are planning a week long training camp north of the border in the second week of July.
Final details of the trip have yet to be confirmed but what is definitely marked down in new Head Coach Kenny Jackett’s diary is a friendly with Livingston of the Scottish First Division.
The game with the Livi Lions will take place at the Braidwood Motor Company Stadium on Saturday, 13th July (kick-off 2pm), at the end of the schedul training camp stint.

As I do trend to old age and the effects of occasional memory loss, was there not a bit of crowd trouble at their last game or at least their (Wolves) last home game of the season?

Ah, Wolverhampton Wanderers. I've a story about some sort in a car on the drive out of Wolverhampton one jolly afternoon several years ago but that's for another day. One wonders if the appendage will be gracing the YNH Stadium on July 13th?

I imagine that'll be a long weekend type thing with another game or two and a bit of team bonding with all the changes to the squad.
Just a shame that it looks to be the same weekend that the supporters football team are down representing the club at WorldNET :-(

Wick! It's over 500 miles for the round trip to get there and back! Think our wee motor won't make it but maybe the supporters bus will be running? How much would that cost? A small fortune probably! lol

I'm sure I seen somewhere that the 1st round of the Ramsdens Cup (if it's still called that this season) is on Saturday 27th July - one week after the Brora game is scheduled. Wonder if we'll have one last friendly pencilled in the midweek between those two for a final look at the players ahead of the cup game.
Quite happy with the selection of games we've got just now though. Three home games which gives the fans a chance to see the players than a weekend away which gives the players a chance to bond a bit ahead of the real games starting.
Anyone going up north?

livingstonfc.co.uk/news/news_20130623_1.phpPre-season now kicking off with a friendly triple-bill against top-class Romanian opposition down south. Current champions Steaua Bucharest (June 30) and 2011 winners Otelul Galati (July 3), who if I remember rightly pushed Manchester United close in the Champions League the next season, will be first up, before we finish up against Dinamo Bucharest on July 4. Just a shame they're not being played here as they'd be three cracking games to see!
