Disappointed to see the wee man go. Obviously no idea what went on behind the scenes for the initial loan move to be organised but possibly the best thing for all involved.
If the Livi management weren't going to use him, I'm sure Bobby himself would rather be out playing somewhere than wasting away on the bench/in the stand.
Definitely a player I enjoyed watching in a Livi top - the 'I <3 Bobby Barr' tops speak volumes so best of luck to him for now and the future.

Disappointed to see the wee man go. Agreed. When he was on form he was on 'Fire'! There was a couple of games v Falkirk where he was absolutely superb and ran them ragged! Something went on with Bobby and Yogi but with Hughes away and Gareth Evans in (sort of) charge it's clear that whatever it is runs deeper. I voted for him for PotY last season, bought the T-shirt and badge so it's a kind of mixed feelings about him leaving Livi. We've been on pretty decent form with him out of the side so it's hard to say with any certainty that the team has missed him. Anyway, aw the best to him at East Fife and to wherever he finds himself playing in future (except against us, obviously )!

They should have tried to patch it between Jan & July. He was a cracking wee plater when he was focused.

I'm sorry to see Bobby going too and wish him all the best at East Fife. I don't know what went on but hey players come and players go so let's get on with it and hope for as high a league position as possible this season

I expected him to return even more when Hughes went down south but as Pedro says, whatever happened obviously runs deeper than any fall out between those two. He's definitely better than SFL2 - that's for sure.

By all accounts he was a disruptive influence in the dressing room, so from that perspective I'm not sorry to see him go. But for his ability as a gifted player, I am.

Lots of players can be seen to be disruptive, but that's not always a big issue it's how the manager uses that to his advantage. Wee Billy won't stand for his nonsense & has re-signed him. Was def worth a gamble to have around for the second art of the season.

Bobby is a decent First Division player but by isn't the world beater he seems to have been made out as. When on form he's very good but that didn't really happen often enough for me. I think he's probably a good guy to have on the bench to bring on at our level but I'm not sure he did enough week in week out to merit a spot in the team. Yes he was the fans player of the year last year but I'd say any one of about five players were in the running and I'll bet he didn't win by that big a margin. I think other players won the players vote and that can say something. Good luck Bobby, but I think we'll survive.

Think tagging Barr as a disruptive influence is a bit harsh, especially if his only crime was pointing out to one or both of the John's that their single tactic game plan was flawed and was obvious to all wasn't working.
With Barr and Talbot on either flank I always felt we had a chance of hitting teams on the break, and Barr would keep going when others would give up.
I fear that next season he will come back to haunt us and remind people why we should never have let him go

It's actually very possible that Bobby's form suffered partly due to Talbot being forced out of the side with injury (leg break?).

My younger brother is getting knee rehab just now and sees Talbot at the physio every week, in fact I think it's Talbots knee that's the problem as well.

I must admit, I am a bit gutted that wee Bobby has left. Whenever he got on the ball there was an added anticipation that we would create a chance or score a goal. I don't think we really have a player like that at the moment, maybe scougall but he's not nearly as direct as B.Barr was.
Nevertheless, the team as a whole is more important than one player, so if there was a dressing room bust up then can't really argue with the managements decision to show him the door.
Will be missed, but onwards and upwards! Bring on the Partick!

As no official word has came out from the club as to why he was shown the door in the first place, the whole dressing room bust up story is just people second guessing, but if you look at what people are saying about the Man City training ground confrontation between Mancini and Ballotelli and all the footballing people say it happens all the time.
It takes two to tango, and I would have hoped that if there had been an incident that they would have tries to patch things up, or if some major incident like the Sergio Berti one took place the board would announce their reasons.

I don't think it would do any good for either party if Livi were to say Bobby had done this or said that etc. I'm sure the club are letting him go with their best wishes so to tar him for something he may or may not use done wouldn't have been good on anyone's side.
As others mentioned, Bobby's conducted himself excellently too - he's not uttered a bad word or gripe at the club and that says a lot about him.

I think it was all Hughes fault!! Bobby has sat quiet although one interview he was quoted as saying Livi wanted to move him on. The whole episode stinks...

I think it's time to move on from the whole Bobby Barr thing. I don't see the likes of Collins or Evans cutting off their nose to spite their face, so there's obviously good reasons why he's been shipped out. As I said further up the thread I think Bobby is a decent player, but he's not irreplaceable.

Perhaps its time to move on, but if coaching staff and the board are prepared to make decisions and fail to communicate them to the fans and the fans just accept that then what's to stop them shipping Scougall out the door because he talks back to John Collins or changing the stadium name to the Tampax Arena and no-one saying boo.

I agree that moving on a player that's held in high regard with little or no explanation is less than ideal but I don't have any issues with the management making the decision and sticking to it.
It's the communication side of thing the club must learn to do so much better!
I'm not sure the "with the best wishes of the club" etc etc is really believed by anyone.

I rhink we have moved on, but still supporters are upset/annoyed how it was all done I think.
No player is ever bigger than a team, but if wee bobby was as bad as is being made out I am surprised its only come to light having been at the club for so long.
Say it again...on his day he was a cracking wee player

It could be down to what different managers are willing to accept possibly?
I'm like the rest of you and have no idea what did or didn't happen but there's a chance that it may have been something that GB was willing to accept but JH/JC/GE aren't.
I hope Bobby is able to find another FT club in the Summer (if that's what he wants to do) - good wee player who is better than where he is currently.
