From his own Facebook page - Wow just found out the worst news possible!! I've done my ACL ligament in my knee! That's my season over. Just need to get my op now, and come back fitter and stronger. Devastated!! Bad news for us as I reckon he gives us that extra bit of fight in the middle of the park that the others lack a bit. Will certainly miss him. Wonder how GE & RB will change things about for Saturday. Interesting to see if we go two upfront now.

Think this news will mean we miss Bobby Barr and Dylan Easton even more than first feared

Horrible news. All the best to him in his recovery, but that really is a shocker. Gutted for him.

I've done my ACL ligament in my knee! That's my season over. When I'm done shootin', I'm gonna punch his fedora.

That's a disaster for him and us!. He's rarely, if ever, out of the side when he's fit so this injury will clearly be a real blow! Reckon this means the board dipping into the transfer market unless we have a young prospect able to make the jump to the 1st team squad, right now! And is it not possibly the case that once your knee starts becoming dodgy then it's mibbe always dodgy after that? Hope no! ACL info on Wiki ---> en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anterior_cruciate_ligament

It depends on each individual really. It's an injury that used to end careers, and in severe cases it still can. There are plenty though that have gone on to recover from surgery and carry on playing, at varying degrees of success. Paul Gascoigne, Alan Shearer, Roy Keane and Steven Naismith are players who have all "done" their ACL, and carried on playing at the same level or higher than pre-injury.

Yes a big loss and after, already being out for a good part of the season. So lets wish him a speedy recovery,as for bringing players in,only if there better than the young players we have,or else the playing and coaching system set up is a waste of time. I would rather have a youngster than some old has bean going through the motions, till something better comes along.

Craig Barr done his ACL whilst at Queen of the South and he's come back stronger - I'm sure he'll be there to lend Keags a hand with advice and such.

Anyone know when Talbot is back? Old cliche but he'll be like a new signing!
Maybe this will force us to play with two strikers now.

Not the best of news as we are a bit short of players as it is. I dont think this has been Keegans best season really. Hes been a bit hot and cold at times but one thing you cant fault him for his effort. He does chip in with a few goals from midfield too so Mcnulty and Russell will really need to find their goalscoring boots.
