The annual FC Livingston GS racenight will take place on Friday 3rd May 2013 in the Meadowbank Suite at Livingston Football Club. Doors will be open from 7.30pm with the first race scheduled to start for 7.45pm.
Tickets are now on sale, priced at £6 each - this includes a buffet and for the first 64 tickets sold, a horse in one of the 8 races. Tickets are expected to be snapped up fast to get yours soon to avoid disappointment.
There will be a raffle on the night and raffle prize donations of any type will be greatly appreciated!
All monies raised will be going to the WorldNet 2013 fund where GS will be travelling down to Preston to represent Livingston FC in a 2-day supporters football tournament alongside 47 other supporters sides.
Give me a shout if you'd like a ticket. Even if the racing side of things isn't your cup of tea, it's a chance to put some beer money over the bar down the stadium ;D

"a horse in one of the 8 races"
I've never been to a racenight so not really sure what you mean by this? What happens if 'my horse' wins?

There's 8 videos of 8 races shown with 8 horses in each. Once our 64 tickets are shifted, we jumble everyone up and put their name against a horse.
For each race, we've got a sponsor who has provided a prize for the winning horse. Sponsors so far this year include Football Nation, the Livi Lions Supporters Club, LIVItv and LFC director Dave Stoker.
The prize is usually a bottle of spirits but will just be whatever the sponsor provides. Last year, my horse won it's race and I won a bottle of vodka thanks to the LLSC who were the sponsors of that particular race.
You can bet on which horse you think will win each race too. It's all just for fun and the betting is never very serious. Usually 50p/£1 stakes but you can place as many bets as you like. Sometimes you'll get £2 back for your £1, other times you might get £15 back for your £1 - just depends on the odds.
Hope that clears things up a bit :-)
