See Hamilton? I'd love it for us to pump them! See you behind the goals. COLTS!

What's the park looking like.? Oh dear! If it's anything like the rest of Livingston then it'll be under an inch of snow.

Club's facebook page says that it's likely there will be a pitch inspection later on today and to stay tuned for more information.
If it's going to be off then I hope we're told early!

Can't criticise the decision (mainly because I can't see the pitch) but my only question would be why did the inspection have to be so early? With the kick off not til 7.45pm and Hamilton only being 45mins away, could the inspection not have been held off until 4 or 5 o'clock? Particularly as the sun is currently out and most of the snow (in the west of Edinburgh at least) is gone, surely a later inspection would have given the game more of a chance? Oh aye, and is it no' about time we bought ourselves some covers?

I'm at work, 5 minutes from the ground (if that) and you can't see any grass around here for the snow. It already still had a covering from last week/the weekend and with the freezing temperature, can only assume this fresh snow has fallen on to hard, frozen snow.

I've seen a fair bit of feedback on the forums and on the club Facebook, so to try and answer the points:
I can understand everyone's point here - no one likes a game to be postponed. The fact of the matter is that the pitch was unplayable after the snow overnight and is still unplayable now.
In addition to the snow on the top of the pitch, which is slowly receding, there are patches of the pitch which are very hard underneath, mainly due to the prolonged period of cold weather we're having. Some areas of the pitch get little or no sunlight at this time of year which makes them more susceptible to frost and slower to thaw.
Clearing the snow off the top of the pitch wouldn't resolve this and quite frankly previous appeals of help for volunteers haven't resulted in masses of people rushing to assist (though thanks to the people who have).
The undersoil heating would probably get the pitch playable, but only if switched on several days in advance and at a financial cost that the club cannot afford at present. It would almost certainly cost more than the amount of money we are likely to take at the gate for a game like tonight's.
The suggestion made in some quarters that the club didn't want tonight's game to go ahead is ridiculous - we've got wages to pay and that's not made easy when we've only had one home game in the last five weeks.
