Hi. I recently made a documentary about Livingston FC with the assistance of departing CEO John Ward.
The link is below:
Please feel free to pass it on to anyone else who might find it of interest.
Thanks and I hope you enjoy it.

Great documentary just does not clarify why he pulls out. Rumour and please its just rumour is we are about to enter adminstration again mainly due to the average of 1300 home fans which does not or has not covered the or increased costs, wages, security, the pitch, police, repayments, etc.
Interested to here if anyone or if anyone knows anyone at the club if this factual.
I know that £300 is great value for Premier League but not great for second division if we were to get relegated due to administration.
As I said it came via a guy that knew John Ward and was not shy at coming forward telling us the real reason he had pulled out at last weeks home gane.I thought long and hard about posting.
But lets be honest we know we need a stronger home support so maybe some truth? Anyway great to here if any of you guys have had any wind of anything?

Shame John Ward is leaving, but he has done a magnificent job getting the club operating in a more professional manner, and things are looking a hell of a lot brighter now than when he first came in. Think he mentioned the turnover was over two million pounds this season, compared to one hundred and fifty thousand plus sponsorship deals in League One, hopefully we can stay in the Premiership for a few seasons and grow our fanbase back up to something like it was the last time we played in the top flight.

Not sure you can blame the fans for that?

Not sure how we could be on an average of 1300 home fans for that matter, the 3 OF games would have had around 9000 at each, the games against Hibs, Hearts and Aberdeen would also be well in excess of 2500 each, that would mean an awful lot of sub 1300 crowds to get the average down to that level.
So far this season we have fallen below 1300 only once, just over 1000 attending our 2-0 win over Accies & the only other occasion where we were near 1300 was when we played them earlier in the season in front of 1372.
So somebody’s basic arithmetic skills are sadly lacking if they think our average home attendance is 1300.

My impression was the number was 1300 Livi fans as opposed to the overall size of the home crowd although I could be wrong.

Even so, we don’t only get revenue for the number of home fans, away fans also have to pay. The documentary touched on the difference in income between top tier & 2nd tier as being enormous so I’d be surprised if lack of bums on seats was a major factor in any financial woes (real or imagined).

Apparently its the Bank again pulled the plug wanting money back in...similar to the first time. There is no apparant collertal? No idea just seems odd however as I said its rumour.

Understand it’s rumour but even that doesn’t seem to align itself with the documentary. I dare say it will all come to light in the summer.

Rumour has it that Ward got £50k back (of his 70k investment) and converted the other £20k into sponsorship for the next 3 seasons.
Rankine is still the major creditor and i understand he is still due more money. I am not sure we have any bank debt tho - what bank (other than a Rankine) would loan money to Livi FC.
The club have been making money but directors have been taking their money back out.
Rumour has it that Rankine & Martindale now calling the shots down Almondvale way.

Rumour has been Rankine & Martindale for a few years... pretty yawn inducing rumour really Well hats not always the case as we’ve had orhers who decided key decisons through a regular meeting. They no longer take place and Rankine & Martindale just do what they like. don't be so patronising!

Didn’t intend to come across as patronising, just bored by a rumour that has been raised every season since Rankine was told to get rid of of his shares. And if you care to look back at old threads I’m sure you’ll see that rumour circulating every season, with the possible exception of last season. So it’s an old rumour.... also I have no doubt we have had others making decisions but it didn’t stop the rumour circulating.
