Just seen on the BBC news - Craig Halkett to sign pre-contract for Hearts. Loss to us of a good player. Best of luck to him, he has done us proud.

IMO he is already the best Scottish centre back in the country & should have been named in the Scotland squad. He has been a tremendous player for us & deserves a decent move. I would have like it better if we had signed him on an extension with a release clause but such is football these days. Assuming this is correct I wish him well but hope we roast them when we play them.  |

Disappointed to hear he’s hoing to hearts. I’m sure he could have got a better move than that.

He’ll get a regular game at Hearts & he probably won’t need to move house either. I think he’d be more than capable of top flight football down south & personally would have loved to see him go to Leeds (even if they don’t go up).

That would be even better but if he has already signed a PCA it would be akin to Callum Elliot’s behaviour for him to change his mind.

In that case, let’s hold on to the hope that Livi strike a deal with him that includes a release clause in the event of a suitable fee being offered.

Yeah, he deserves better but it could be said that he is managing his career carefully, I’d have preferred him to have gone south but at least he hasn’t gone back to Glasgow.

I know you’re joking about him being loaned back but if he isn’t the first name picked by Levein for his defence then Avril needs his head examined.
Kelly is under contract for another year though.

AFAIK Gallagher's signed an PCA for Motherwell, nothing has been said of Kelly though, I think we'll still have him next season. Good luck to Craig, he stayed for a season longer than I thought he would so cheers for that too, it helped give us stability going into the Premiership and has given us a valuable season of experience comfortably staying up. |

He gave us a fantastic 3 years as I said to him on Friday,just wish him all the best and Declan,as well as any other player leaving in the summer,a big thanks for this season and what went before.

Just hope he now he’s moving up to a bigger team he gets the Scotland nod that he should have had. Will take some going to fill his boots

Agreed... although the defence did ok for most of the match last Friday... albeit that Dec was still there, I actually thought Big Al stepped up to have a better game than he’d had for a while.
