Let’s start with the same team that began the game at Tynecastle. It was balanced perfectly and all the players slotted into their natural positions.
Kelly, G-H-L, Odoffin, Lawson, B-P, Lamie, Lawless, Hardie.
Lots of energy on the bench too - Jacobs, Menga, Wylde, Sibbald, Brown, Erskine and Stewart
The bench is strong now, and likely to get even stronger for the run-in, when Robinson, De Vita and Lee Miller come back in.
If we can win today, can’t see Dundee catching us. I also can’t see St Mirren overtaking Dundee, so a victory today ought to secure our place in the Premiership.

Was a tough one. Thought we played well enough not only for draw but to even win that. The standard of the match officials however was horrendous. Not seen the red card back but noticed tackle was waved on by the ref and the card was awarded by the 4th official. That said, was really impressed by the effort and play from us even down to 10. A couple of great chances in the 1st 10 mins of 2nd half could have put the game beyond them. Really unlucky today

Ok Misdemeanour, we get the point. You’re the only Livi fan that seems to delight in the team losing points. Maybe you support some other team, based on your comments on these boards.
Real Livi fans were pleased with the performance today with 10 men for most of the game. You can continue with your sarcasm and enjoy yourself. You were much less vocal earlier in the season when the team was winning. It’s your time now, so bring it on.
People are strange.

Excuse me, might be a bit repititive but don’t question misdemeanour. If you look back on previous forums, he is a great true livi fan. If you really wNt someone that supports the team when they lose points, look at Auldnick and Jon snow.. (will wait for them to call me out)

We were superb today as always yes we got beat but we've got 30 plus points you dumbass. Supporting another team? Really yes I have a box at both Ibrox and Parkhead which is used for external clientele however I will always be at Livi. Seriously do not question my commitment to the club.

I am certainly questioning your Livi credentials. Why do you say that the stadium was almost full when it was 80% empty? Moronic. Go back to Ibrox or Parkhead. Take your sarcasm with you. Good riddance. I rest my case.

Good riddance. I rest my case. Haha good riddance really? Cooperate clients of mine love the big games. That's corporate clients which I do to make awareness of my business you twat. My passion personally is Livingston FC so do yourself a favour and do one. My commitment to LFC will become before any Rangers or Celtic game they are purely Commercial. What point do you not understand. I take clients to LFC games pay full price for away tickets but that is what we do. Your disgusting attitude to say good riddance just proves the level of attitude you have which is disappointing. This is a public forum where people with some level of intelligence can discuss or agree / disagree on topics raised. I aint going anywhere not now or in the future. Our business interests in other clubs is commercial however you do not seem to understand that. Stick to reading the Sunday post full of content.

Your previous posts, on this subject and on others, been particularly provocative and sarcastic. Explain why you think we were brilliant today. Tell me why you think the stadium was nearly full today when it clearly wasn’t. Were your actually there today? Sarcasm doesn’t suit you. Cheap stuff. If you really ARE a Livi fan, try to be positive. Otherwise, go back to Ibrox or Parkhead please.

Now, now children....
Hi Bobi, knew you couldn’t resist name dropping, I do wish you’d stop flirting with me though, I’m an old man with high blood pressure...
Misdemeanour you are almost funny, but I am disappointed in your nasty comments towards Colcal those were uncalled for & are contradictory to what you are saying with regard to everyone being allowed an opinion. Furthermore in a debate, if you are reduced to insults then you have lost the argument.
Col, don’t take his sarcasm seriously, it’s an attempt to antagonise those of us that are enjoying what is essentially a free hit season in the top flight on the back of 2 very successful seasons. For the team/club to have achieved what they have in the last couple of seasons is bordering on matching the success of the first 10 years in Livingston & could be argued that it is better as it has been done on a shoestring budget. If we stay up this season it will be another success.
On the other hand the very fact we got off to such a great start makes the current bad run of results very disappointing as it seems we have failed to capitalise on the excellent foundation built in the first half of the season; but that is why you never assume anything half way through a season. It is why the cliche of ‘each game as it comes’ is the only way to play out the season.
The performance yesterday was not bad but the result was. That is football, you win some you lose some & you draw some. Sometimes you win when you have been outplayed, sometimes you lose when you were on top. Yesterday we had the chances to put the game beyond Dundee before they equalised but failed to score them, we could have been 2 or 3 up - for a team playing a man down that would have been remarkable. Unfortunately, they then managed to score twice & see the game out even though we had further chances & possibly should have had an opportunity to do so from the penalty spot.
The team in red & black & their chum on the sidelines had arguably the biggest impact on the game with the red card (looked like both went in high to me) & the failure to penalise obvious fouls; the pen incident I mentioned saw Lawless booked for simulation which from my viewpoint was a ridiculous decision. I couldn’t tell if it was a pen but it certainly didn’t look like a dive (could have been a clean tackle where contact occurs or where both guys make contact with ball & the more forceful wins). The same ref sent off 3 Livi players last season... coincidence? Hmmm.
Anyway, it’s done now so on we go; can’t see where the next win is coming from but that is sometimes when they happen.

Just to add that it was a stick on red card from where I was sitting and having viewed the SPFL highlights I've not changed my mind.

Definite red card. Definite penalty. One correct decision. One incorrect decision. The booking for Lawless is completely bewildering. The referee was presumably certain that it was a dive - and that’s what makes it difficult for the fans.

Scunnered with the result, mainly due to how it was achieved with Aitken's help, missing Lawless being fouled, boy stuck his his leg right across him and made contact, so Aitken decides it's a dive, very good!
Can't complain about the effort from our ten players who had the majority of the game with a man down. Only positive I can see from the game was we finally scored a goal in 2019, just need to get our first win of the year now.

Just to add that it was a stick on red card from where I was sitting and having viewed the SPFL highlights I've not changed my mind. Dunno, when you see Powers high foot against Jack and Brown's two footed tackle yesterday only getting a yellow, then Byrne's challenge was nowhere near as bad but got a red card. I mean how is this ok, both with the ref and the compliance officer, but Byrne skiffing a Dundee player's hand a straight red?

I didn’t watch the highlights, so I’ll accept that it may have merited a card, however I don’t recall any of the opposition on or off the field making any kind of fuss about it. Could be wrong about that, the old grey cells are not what they used to be.
Now watched the highlights on youtube and felt more anxious watching them than I did on Saturday. Dundee created an unbelievable amount of chance but couldn’t hit a barn door from point blank range. The only 2 efforts on target were right in the “ upper 90” (where the post meets the bar) & went in.
The red card, there was more in it than I thought on the day, Byrne is very late into the challenge but I have seen a lot worse being given a yellow & the photo JS posted is proof of that. However, I do now see that someone could justify a red being issued.
The pen - I can only put the failure of the ref to award a pen as sheer incompetence.

I think it is fair to say that we are now bang slap in the middle of a pretty decent sized slump in form right now.

I think it is fair to say that we are now bang slap in the middle of a pretty decent sized slump in form right now. I wouldn't say form. We are still playing pretty well (first 20 minutes of Motherwell excepted) but just not getting the results. We held our own 10v11 on Saturday and were diddled out of a penalty which we might or might not have scored from to give us a draw and a 16 point gap between us and Dundee. But them's the breaks in football.
