Well we didnt quite have the prowess that we have shown in earlier season games. In fact and yes, I know as long as we finish tenth, and yes we know how proud you all are of the team and we didnt expect to be here at this stage blah blah blah, but the undefying aspect is we were poor. As we were on the horrific defeat against an absoloute disgrace of a Hearts team not worthy of their status. So there you go I have said it. Dont matter how you cut the cake its same result. We need to get back to winning ways and quick.

I knew you’d be on for a moan.... well moan about this... we’ve just sent Hamilton out on loan... the kid has already shown he can compete at this level & we’re not exactly blessed with a lot of scoring strikers are we?

I wasn't there last night but our performance at Tynecastle on Sunday was as insipid as I've seen in a long time.

Last night’s game could have gone either way, once again, but they nicked it. We were the better side for long spells. Losing like that was a sickener. I was disappiuwkth St Johnstone. They’re a very competent side but incredibly ‘professoonal’’. They took three bookings for cynical and ruthless fouls - taking one for the team it’s called. Win at all costs. We are quite naive as a team but I prefer that to the alternative.
Shame about Hamilton. I thought he was a stick-on for Sunday. I can only assume another striker is on his way to the Spaghettihad. Let’s see what happens............😉

I find it very strange that we have loaned out two defenders & brought another defender in on loan to provide cover for GHL in the event of injury or suspension...what were the two sent out on loan here for??
Also, as mentioned earlier, we are short of goalscoring forwards, Hardie can’t play on Sunday, leaving Miller (possibly injured), Menga (possibly injured), Erskine (has about 100 mins with his new teammates) DeVita (coming back from injury & not played as a striker since returning to the club) and they have 2 goals between them. Admittedly Hamilton doesn’t add many more goals to mix but at least he had scored earlier in the season & has been prolific in the reserves & has shown he can handle playing in this division.
We are currently in our worst run of results for the season - last win was the 5-0 win over 10 man Hearts - since then we have struggled to score.
Yes we are exceeding expectations for the season but continued poor results will have a detrimental effect on confidence & our great start to the season could end up being all we have to cheer about... and there are some tricky games over the next few weeks.

Really having a moan? Your last comment here about us being on a poor run of results is that in the same vein as my comment about us being poor I wonder?seems to me the common denominator here is the word poor. Its seems poor decisions in the club again are affecting the ovetall team performace and excellent start to the season. I mean Hardie subbed at the Hearts game when Menga was struggling? Hamilton now out on loan, Henk out on loan, Mathew Knox at Berwick. However is everything is terrific all wonderful cannot wait to watch the Livingston FC play Soccer in this fantastic league. All is super in the world. Brexit, Trump makes you understand how lucky we all are! what a wonderful life. Even us losing to these fine chaps from Glasgow and all their lovely supporters could not make me feel like not moaning.

Some more nonsense, yet again, from Misdemeanour. Henk and Knoxy are clearly in development and in need of games, so putting them on loan is eminently sensible. Neither was making the match day squad so they’re better playing in lower league games than sitting beside me in the stand.
Hamilton is a more curious one, given the injuries we have to forward thinking players - Miller, Robinson, Menga, De Vita - and Hardie is just back from a 7 month absence. Wrapping him in cotton wool is the right thing to do when we need him fit and available for the last 17 games. Erskine may have to play up there on Sunday.
The games against Rangers are free hits for us. Nobody expects anything. But playing Motherwell and Dundee and Hamilton and St Mirren.......that’s when we need to be at our best.
We’ve lost games very narrowly recently. We deserve to be at this level and we’re competing really well. Miles ahead of expectations! Top marks all round.

Did I not comment that in my first post to this thread that I am fully aware of "we didnt expect to be here crap", that all thats get posted here. Yes we have done great I couldn't be happier, but ffs weve played shit last couple games, its not a moan its fact. Its not a nonsense its fact. We are allowed to criticise the team that is football. We are allowed to express views. It is not rosey in the garden and if Colcal thinks it is www.deluded.com

Most of this team were in League One two seasons ago. We’ve had back-to-back promotions. We have a small support and we are unfashionable. We have the smallest budget in the Premiership.
But......we have a superb manager and back room staff, a tremendous team that is greater than the sum of its components and an identity of which we can all be proud.
We were favourites for relegation. We’ve got 30 points on the board, an outstanding home record and one of the meanest defences in the league with ten clean sheets. We’re 18 points clear of the bottom team and 17 points ahead of the relegation play-off place. No Livingston fan would have expected anything remotely close to that. So any criticism is miles wide of the mark.
Real Livi fans would be rightly proud of the team, the staff and the club. The achievements of this squad are nothing short of remarkable. No question about it!

Yeah, having a moan mate... you have rarely praised the good results, usually going down the route of the opposition had an off day and/or we got lucky. Poor results does not necessarily equate to poor performance; we were the better side first half against Hearts but they edged the second half & scored. Can’t comment on the Saints game, didn’t see it but some say it was fairly even but they scored. So results are poor but performances are okay; unless we accept your assessment of course but since you say we’re poor even when we win we tend to view you as a wind up merchant. So it was nice to see you acknowledge that we did in fact have an excellent start to the season. The danger is that a poor run of results can have a detrimental effect on performance & that can perpetuate poor results. So hopefully we get a confidence boost soon.

There are ‘fans’ that doubted Livingston would make the playoffs last seasons never mind get promoted. And misdeamour points out facts of our terrible games away.. lost Waiting for my grief.. Anyways. Buzzing for Sunday’s game, think we’re going to pump ‘em

Doing ok but bothered with a cold including a frustrating cough, thanks for asking - I hope you are well.
I don’t know why you keep highlighting JonSnow as being someone who is negative about the team... he is regularly super optimistic about our chances. If you asked him about tomorrow’s game for example I am confident he anticipates at the very least a draw but he’d also be confident we can win.
I on the other hand am more reserved in my expectations, not because I don’t think this team is capable of winning, of course they are capabale of winning, I just don’t expect them to win - this is a philosophical position to enable me to handle whatever result we get without getting carried away & keeping my blood pressure under control; if they lose I’m not overly disappointed, if they draw I am satisfied & if they win I am delighted but I don’t expect them to keep winning.... I suppose it’s my version of taking 1 game at a time - 1 result at a time.
Add to this the fact that I believe when supporters expect the team to win it adds to the pressure on the players, so by keeping expectations low I don’t add to their burden of expectation. Look at Celtic for example, they are top of the league but it’s almost a crisis because they are not 15 points clear. Our boys don’t need that extra burden of pressure; I think it is to our benefit when the opposition don’t see us as a threat.
Realistically on our budget & with our squad’s relative inexperience at this level we are exceeding expectations and in the immortal words of Sir Alex Ferguson “I am pwoud, vewy pwoud.”
