Rory's just signed for Dundee United until the end of the season following his release from Kilmarnock. Rory Boulding has joined Dundee United on a deal until the end of the season.
The 24-year-old striker, released by Kilmarnock in January just six months into a three-year deal with the Rugby Park side, will provide cover for Johnny Russell, who fractured his fibula last week.
Boulding first played in Scotland with Livingston, scoring 12 goals in 29 appearances, but failed to make an impact in Ayrshire, failing to find the net in four games. sport.stv.tv/football/216751-dundee-united-sign-striker-rory-boulding-on-short-term-contract/

UNITED SIGN RORY BOULDING ON SHORT TERM CONTRACT
Dundee United today confirmed the signing of 24 year old forward Rory Boulding on a short term contract until the end of the season.
The 6ft 1' Englishman played for Mansfield Town, Bradford City and Accrington Stanley amongst others before starring for Livingston last season scoring 12 goals in 29 games.
Following a pre season trial at Hearts he joined Kilmarnock on a three year contract but after playing four games for the Ayrshire Club he was released from his contract in January.

Would like to have seen him given a longer run in the side. Came onto a decent bit of form after Yogi gave him his chance.
I remember his 2 goals in the 5-2 rout of Falkirk and he bagged a couple against the Jags at Firhill. Don't think we saw the best of him.

Came onto a decent bit of form after Yogi gave him his chance. I think his relatively short scoring spree at the tail end of last season was as much down to us creating chances as it was his natural ability. Don't get me wrong, there's been times when I've thought that we could have done with a player like him in the side on a few occasions this season but with Beanie rattling them in for fun these days I've not done so for a while. I wonder just how far down the pecking order he was at Killie to have his 3 year deal quashed after barely 6 months? That can't be so good to have on your CV, I'd have thought. All the same, good luck to him in trying for a longer contract at United.

Dundee United’s Rory Boulding keen to stick boot into Celtic
The only time Dundee United striker Rory Boulding was at Hampden he was given the boot.
In fact, he was handed a pair as the winner of the Irn Bru Ginger Boot award after going on a scoring spree for then-club Livingston last April.
The shoe will be on the other foot for Boulding this Sunday, though, when he will be a member of the Tangerines squad that takes on Celtic in the William Hill Scottish Cup semi-final.

Was quite ironic that his last minute goal for Dundee Utd on Saturday actually meant they pipped Kilmarnock to the final top 6 place.
Good luck to him - will be a great experience playing at a packed Hampden. Hopefully he'll get some game time.

Something about that lad that I just didn't warm to him. Aw the best to him though.

He hasn't half done Jackie MacNamara a turn with that goal. Don't think the Dundee United fans would have been too happy if he didn't get them in the top six.
This is what I love about football. Going into the 90th minute on Saturday, the United fans would have been whining and moaning about bottom six and how they'd get beat easily from Celtic in the cup semi-final. Two minutes later, they're in the top six and go into the cup semi final absolutely buzzing.
It's a funny old game!
I liked Boulding but it seems he only turned it on when his contract was nearly done. Got a three year deal at Killie and it didn't work out then now, with his contract nearly up at United, he might just be finding form again!

My Arab mate said Boulding has been a waste of space; when he scored the winner against Aberdeen I texted him & said "Funny old game eh? Boulding gets his 1st goal for your lot to secure a top six place at the expense of his former club & Dundee do United a favour too" He replied that Boulding was now a legend....but still rubbish!
