Wasn’t a game for the connoisseur but I thought we merited a draw. A defeat was harsh on us overall. Even so, the standard of refereeing was appalling. The young boy Anderson spent most of the time falling over, Considine constantly put two hands on the shoulders of our players to prevent them from jumping and I’ve got absolutely no idea what Cosgrove has to do to get booked for persistent fouling. Bizarre refereeing. Those niggles, which went on for the entire 90 minutes, are just annoying and tell us a lot about their manager’s approach. But, crucially, I thought there was a clear foul to us in the lead up to the opening goal. Instead, they were given the throw and broke away to score. We had an off day today but Aberdeen don’t look like the second force in Scotland. That’s 21 games gone now. For us to be on 30 points and so far ahead of the relegation area is spectacular! Congratulations to the squad and the management team. Outstanding!!👏👏👏

Overall I didn’t think it was too bad a performance a few individual had an off day cadden in particular was dreadful. With a young squad as we have this will happen from time to time. What the lads have given us so far this season is incredible so can probably let this one slide and come back hard after the break.

Lithgow was slow getting out though & played the scorer onside.

Yeah Aberdeen certainly get the breaks on refereeing decisions against us, Hardie was onside when he ran onto the ball and chipped the keeper too, got flagged before he scored right enough but my money would've been on Hardie with a 1 on 1 every day of the week. Fortunate with Halkett's clearing tackle hitting Lawson for an og too.

Just saw on Sportscene the ground Halkett covered to get back & make that block only to have it bounce in off Lawson & possibly the Aberdeen forward (looked like it on the telly). He was just leaving the Aberdeen box when Wilson went past Lithgow near half way. It looks like he is on fast forward & everyone else is on normal speed. If we had the “not worthy” emoji I’d be using it in his honour for his gallant attempt to prevent a goal, absolutely stunning effort & gutted for him that his successful block was turned goalwards again by a player he blew past in the attempt to block it. If Lawson had shown the same energy & effort he’d have gotten back before Captain Halkett & would have had an opportunity to block the initial cross.

I’ve just been reading about Steve Bruce being appointed Sheff Weds boss. I seen him entering a the main doors of the Tony Mac on Saturday just before kickoff , hope he’s not planning a raid😥

Saw him getting out his car with his son before the game on Saturday.
According to Talk Sport news at 5:30pm he will not start in the job until February, so unless he has given the current recruitment team at Hillsborough a “shopping list” he is going to have no say in who they try to sign in January... or maybe his remit in January is to line up their targets before the window closes,

Hopefully they all will find clubs in the January Window not that I want them to go but this is a business so we need to make hay when the sun shines. Good luck boys you all deserve a break your time has been served go onto brighter and better things if the chance arises

Think the boys will all stay for the season and finish what they started.

I hope so; there would a certain sense of completion for them (especially the guys who won back to back promotions) if they were to stay & see what they can achieve.
Far too many players leave too quickly & end up kicking their heels on benches - perfect example being David Fernandez.

Far too many players leave too quickly & end up kicking their heels on benches - perfect example being David Fernandez. To be fair to him he gave it a good shot at Livi and he fully deserved a big move. It was just a pity that Celtic were signing players for fun and he was never, despite his clear talents, given a proper kick at the ball in a hooped shirt. Broto ended up wasting his time at Celtic too. I recall that they wanted to give him another contract - he wanted more money - so they just binned him. Cash wise I'm sure both benefitted greatly from their contracts at Celtic but career wise it didn't do much for them, imo.
