We thoroughly deserved our draw today and it could have been three points with more clinical finishing. Liam Kelly has little to do and the defending from our boys was terrific - bodies on the line, which is great for a fan to see. I’d like to see the red card again but it’s clear that the manager believes there’s cause for an appeal. It was a game that Dundee really needed to win. But it was another clean sheet and another point further ahead of St Mirren, Hamilton and Motherwell. For us to be 20 points ahead of Dundee after 20 games is phenomenal! With goal difference, it’s effectively 21 points clear so Dundee will need to win 7 more games than us in the final 18 games if they’re to overtake us.

Ok time now for those of you who post here and write the truth. We have an opportunity to finish in a European place forget survival that mission is complete. The club should be taking the view this is a tremendous oppertunity to qualify for a european competition. Today we were lets make no bobes piss poor. Menga who got some abuse from the Livi supporters did not turn up as did most of the team. We were dreadful for those to have the acidity to write here and say great point...bollocks. Time to get real, I love the club and where we are but were beyond the point now of just playing for survival we are capable of much more but we need to install belief in both players and supporters however long term success and survival means working harder than we did today. That means being hard on the guys now and again. 2 points dropped for no reason. I work hard to pay my way to away games but that today was terrible. Sorry to burst bubbles but some need to wake up their ideas for the Aberdeen game. Oh by the way Hamilton for Hardie with over 20 odd minutes left really???

For goodness sake it sounds like you think we have a God given right to turn up away from home and take 3 points. It just might have been that the opposition were good enough to prevent us winning. That Dundee team today were much better than the one we beat 4-0 at home. It always annoys me when other teams don't give us credit by saying that their team was poor. Our lads gave the usual 100% today but couldn't break down a stubborn and sometimes overly physical Dundee team. A draw was about right and it was hard fought at that.

Realism works both ways... up to now we have been saying that we are punching way above our weight, so why should one or two results that would normally be considered as roughly “results we were expecting” be met with derision? And as for abusing our own players... suggest you get your jacket on the way out (for clarity that comment is directed at those shouting abuse at our players) this is still a team with a number of young players & some that have never played at this level until this season, that normally brings inconsistency but after the last 2 & a half seasons you cannot accuse these guys of not putting in the effort, they may have a poor game but they don’t hide & they always try to do their best; sometimes that will bring good results sometimes it won’t - ce la vie & such is the nature of sport, especially team sport.
Every point gained is at least 2 that our opponents didn’t get; well done lads, onwards & upwards. Difficult game this weekend but let’s get right intae them & see what happens.

Sorry to burst bubbles but some need to wake up their ideas for the Aberdeen game. Oh by the way Hamilton for Hardie with over 20 odd minutes left really??? I suspect “Misdemeanour” is attempting to live up to his name. I didn’t hear anyone abusing our own players. I did hear a few laughs at some of Dolly’s attempts to control the ball. However, nobody could fault his, or any other player’s, complete commitment and effort on the pitch. That’s what makes us the team than we are. I, for one, love that, and I’d have a squad like that ahead of one full of egos and charlatans. What we lack in ability - albeit that we are technically very under-rated - we more than make up for in energy. That’s what our opponents fear. Everyone knows they need to play us for the full 90 minutes or they’re likely to drop points to us. We need to remember that Ryan Hardie is only coming back from 7 months out so I’m happy that he’s being given time to get back to full fitness at a sensible pace. We’re going to need him for the second half of the season. Lee Miller too. Both Dundee and St Mirren have new managers with funds to spend in the transfer window. We are likely to have players go out on loan and bring others in until the end of the season, just to freshen things up a bit. So, until we’re mathematically safe, we’re unsafe!

I get what misdemeanor is saying, we're victims of our own success, raising expectation levels of some of our fans, I was disappointed with the result too, i'd be looking at that fixture as an away win for any of our competition in the top six, so with Hardie back I was looking at it as an away win for us too. It was the same when we played Accies away, I was peeved when we were looking at only getting a draw, and it was a right blow when they got a breakaway goal to take all three points.
However I have nothing but respect for our players commitment, they've been unbelievable these past two seasons, the December fixtures were crammed in to stretch us to our limit too, it has been a massive effort for the likes of Byrne, Jacobs and Pittman considering the amount of effort those three put in each game, we're bound to have the odd game where some of our players are a bit jaded looking.
There is still half our games to play though and we're sitting seventh, I doubt any of us would've been disappointed at that pre season, a top three spot is pushing it a bit right enough, Aberdeen and Killie look most likely to be challenging the Glasgow arse cheeks for those spots, personally i'd be delighted if we could just make the cut for a top six spot. You never know though, this team have exceeded all expectations already last season, they may just go and do the same again this season.

Although Dundee had been beaten their last 3 games before us , They are now unbeaten in 4 games at home. draws against St Mirren, Rangers and a win against Hamilton. A draw was not a bad result for us.

Can I just squeeze a little remark in here, can everyone please remember this time last year, half of you lot were doubting we would make the play offs nevermind the premiership. SO PLEASE, stop underestimating our team before I have to say I told you so, once again. You call yourself livi fans? Jesus

Not sure who you are having a go at Bobi; I don’t think anyone is underestimating our boys. Some, however are being unrealistic in their demands that they play well every time they play. Not even Celtic do that, they were very poor in losing to Rangers. As for Jesus... I have it on good authority that he is a Livi fan...Revelation, the last book of the Bible, chapter 5 verse 5 describes him as the Lion of Judah.

Nobody doubted the team's ability last season, most of us knew our chances of winning the league were slim to non existent though, but the play offs were def attainable.
Much the same this season, top 3 would be a bit of stretch for us, top 6 is more achievable and a fantastic accomplishment if we could do it.
Killie were the most consistent team of 2018, above Celtic and The Rangers, they have a great chance of a top 3 place, i'd say Celtic and The Rangers will be the other two making up those European places and Aberdeen just missing out in fourth place. Imo Hearts, St Johnstone, Livi and Hibs are fighting for the other two top six spots, I don't think any of those teams are better than us but it will be a really tough for us to compete with them over the whole season as they've all got greater experience in this league and larger resources to draw on.
Tbh wherever we finish it is one hell of a season for us, we aint going to be anywhere near the bottom two places. It's a great time to be a Livi fan. Happy new year to you all.
