Most commentators in Scotland have us playing kick and rush style football. He'll get the players working hard for each other. Don't expect quick miracles though as many Livi fans expected us to sack him after we got relegated but he was given time to turn it around and managed to do so. Bit of a torn face, it must be said.

Once he got his own players in he set us up well and had the players well organized, doesn't look like Bradford give their managers much time though so good luck to him. Halkett, Byrne and Pittman would be obv targets for Hoppy, but the way we're going just now there will be a few others looking at them this season.

Yeah, I didn’t want him to get the job at the start & didn’t want him to leave at the end...
He didn’t change much when he took over & we almost stayed up but blew it in extra time. Then he got rid of some guys, brought new faces in & got a real camaraderie in the squad. We cantered to the third tier title & got back to back promotions by winning the play offs. Thought he might like a crack at the top tier but he moved on.

I was not the biggest fan of him in the beginning but he changed the dynamics of the team including bonding, play, attitude to win, he got players minds focused however as you say he done very litte. The words staggering statement spring to mind!

You really only read the first sentence in the paragraph. Try again.... I’ll wait for you to catch up....
No, can’t be bothered waiting...I tried to keep it short but as you failed to follow I’ll go for a longer version.
I said he didn’t change much when he took over - he didn’t, he could have tried something different with the players available but he tried to keep us up playing the same way that got us into trouble in the first place. The first sign of any improvement came in the 2nd leg against Stranraer when we kept going for the full 90 mins & took it to ET but the bubble burst in the extra 30 mins.
I wasn’t impressed that he didn’t change anything & didn’t want him as manager at that point.
League 1 was a walk in the park but he brought in his own players to freshen the squad & kept the best guys already at the club. He still didn’t convince me he was right for the job right away but by the end of the season he was winning me over. It was back in the championship that he really made his mark, playing things low key & getting results with some decent football when the conditions allowed & adapting to the conditions when they weren’t conducive to a passing game. But his biggest achievement with the squad was getting them to the point where they would run through walls for each other & to where they were giving as much in the 90th minute as they had in the 1st. It was like he learned from the play off game against Stranraer, where we died in ET; that wouldn’t happen now.
So..he didn’t change much to begin with but he very quickly made excellent improvements taking the opportunity to rebuild confidence in league 1, building a tremendous team spirit & mastering the art of making the right subs at the right time. He proved himself to be very capable & in the end I wanted him to stay.
Thankfully we have now ended the Miller misery & I hope GH can continue to build on Hoppy’s foundation.
