What Scotland needs is another overweight, bald, manager. Step forward David Martindale. LOL!

Not happy at his performance? Winning the League Cup group Only losing by two goals away to the side who has won the last seven titles and won back-to-back trebles. Losing only by a single goal to the runners-up of both cups last season. With a side that was playing in League One just over a year ago. What exactly do the people at the club expect??

Might've been seeing the same as the rest of us though, that KM wasn't playing as a striker yet was taking up a position from someone who would. We were a bit toothless up front the last two weeks, that interview Miller did confirmed he had no intention of dropping himself this season and imo that would've become a problem when Hardie was back. He'd have messed about with a combination involving him starting and Hardie/L Miller/Hamilton playing alongside him, but he'd have left them isolated with no support. Personally I thought we were too slow in our build up play too and made it easy for Motherwell in the second half to defend their lead, a few niggly things were building. I'd have supported him and hoped he'd get it sorted and realize he had to step back and manage the team more from the sidelines but in all honest i'm relieved he's away now and not having this problem hanging further into the season.

Just another turbulent week at Livingston then. Suppose it shouldn't surprise us anymore.
KM certainly hadnt found the balance of being player manager and his reluctance to bench himself may have caused the board to have a conversation with him. I hope he has simply not taken well to this and walked instead of being pushed.

Don't let the door hit you on the way out!
Pity there wasn't a probation period on the new pitch as well.

The club have announced that they asked him to stop being a player and be manager full time.
KM said no and left.

Actually it seems like we've acted in a shrewd and sensible manner for a change, putting in a probationary deal and giving him the choice of just managing us when it wasn't working with him playing.
He wants to keep on playing, we just need a manager, we've parted company with no hard feelings and move on with things.
No rush for a manager as such, we can get along fine with the backroom staff running things, but we're really short of a striker and apparently we've just signed a right back. Lee Miller came off injured, so if he can't play this weekend all we have left is Jack Hamilton.

Sensible? No rush? Eh?
This is a fiasco and it's needing sorted soon!
I have a feeling that the absolute lack of transparency from the club about who is funding it and who is pulling the levers of power, in both the boardroom 'and' the dugout, is behind this latest farce.
And as fans there's no obvious way to raise those concerns. Would probably be told a pile of B/S anyway, imo.

How so, we've a good looking squad, we got all the players signed up that we wanted from last season, Halkett, Byrne, Pittman being the main ones, only disappointment on that score was Alexander retiring from playing, but Kelly looks a good replacement for him. Sibbald is an excellent signing too, and Ryan Hardie is back for a full season on loan, and only a couple of weeks away from being fit to play, only place we're short is another striker. It's far from being a fiasco. What would've been a fiasco was not having a probationary period and allowing this to carry on into the season, possibly finding ourselves in a position too difficult to get out of before acting on it.
It isn't ideal but Hoppy leaving left us in a difficult position, signing wise we got ourselves a decent squad that is competing well, imo we're looking healthier than St Mirren and Dundee, who are stuck with managers they'll have to punt before the season ends.
