Looking forward to this game, it'll be a tough one against a team that will probably be in the top half of the Premiership, but don't see why we shouldn't be looking to take all three points here, nothing for us to fear anyway. Mon the Amber Machine, lets get our first home game off to a winning start.

For anyone not able to make the game, a full game "as live" repeat is on BBC Alba at 6pm on Saturday.

A convincing win is a must if we want to kick start our season or else questions must be asked.

I’d be delighted with a draw today against a very competent Kilmarnock team that finished 5th last season. They have a good squad and an excellent manager. They also play their home games on an artificial surface - it’ll be interesting to see what the surface is like today.
With Lamie and Crane back from suspension, and hopefully Sibbald back from injury, the squad is strengthening all the time. With Tiffoney arriving, I imagine one or two youngsters will be sent out on loan before the deadline.
I thought McMillan and Lawless looked really good when they came on last week and we looked more threatening with them in the pitch.
Al things considered, I can’t wait for today’s game. I’d take a draw right now.

A convincing win is a must if we want to kick start our season or else questions must be asked. Really? You’re going with “questions must be asked” theme again? You didn’t ask any last time, will you make good on it this time? There you go, 3 questions asked before a ball is kicked. Or maybe you want to know what really killed the dinosaurs?

Couldn’t make the game today but I listened to BBC Radio Scotland. Alan Preston said it was a boring game and also “slated” the new pitch. Peter Houston agreed with him. Both said there were to many black pellets being kicked up and that the pellets should have been green.

Football aside - pre match in the Lions Den was disgraceful - The so called Livi fan who started the fight with the Killie fan should be totally embarrassed. In his pursuit of attacking the Killie fan he pushed over my 83yr old Father in Law, who relies on a crutch for balance and walking. I hope his friends have a grain of decency between them and name and shame this cretin for what he is. He should be banned for life. We have been attending games since 1995, this is the first time i have been embarrassed to say i'm a livingston fan.

I saw Pedro on the TV at Tynecastle too. 😂
Delighted with the draw this afternoon. We deserved it competed well all day, restricting Killie to very few real chances. Shaun Byrne was absolutely outstanding and there were excellent contributions throughout from the likes of Pittman, Halkett, Gallagher, Lawless and both Millers.
Really encouraged by today and feel that we can compete against those teams other than the so-called big 5. Motherwell at home in the cup next week then a visit to Paisley. A similar effort in those games could see us get off to a good start to the season.
Well done today Livi. Keep it going!!

Currently watching the game on Alba on the telly box.
Livi looking decent and with a bit more guile could be in front.

Yeah, we showed that we can compete, I thought we were the better side in possession but worryingly we created fewer chances. Still not liking the player/manager role. He spends too much time trying to manage on the pitch & as a result isn’t making the impact he ought be as a player. Needs to leave the “management” to the assistants while he is on the pitch. Halkett was immense, Byrne was also excellent & most of the others put in a good shift. Don’t see Saunders as being an improvement on Lithgow... or on Lamie for that matter. Not saying he was poor, just not better than them.

Good point, good performance and it shows we can compete at this level. Lawless and Kaja are cracking signings too. Once Hardie is fit we'll have a better shot of taking all three points in games like this, Sibbald will make a big difference too. It is quite positive looking for us though.

Livingston 0 Kilmarnock 0: Kenny Miller delighted with first point, but snore draw far from a game for the puristsKilmarnock's Jordan Jones (right) is fouled by Livingston's Egli Kaja. Livingston player/manager Kenny Miller was thrilled to collect the Lions’ first top-flight point in 12 years, and insists the draw with Kilmarnock shows they belong in the Premiership. This contest will be a genuine candidate for one of the worst spect-acles of the season, but Miller could not give a jot as his side got up and running in the league following last weekend’s defeat at Celtic. In a first half bereft of creativity, Killie’s Chris Burke went closest to scoring with an effort that came back off the post. It was far from being a snore draw. It was quite a high tempo game being played end to end, and considering them having us as stick ons for relegation a very good point for us. These 'purists' are probably gutted it wasn't an 'entertaining' four nil win for Killie right enough.

Aye, the pundits & papers seem to be describing it that way.... just hope they keep writing us off as they did last season & hope equally that our boys keep proving them wrong.

We have been attending games since 1995, this is the first time i have been embarrassed to say i'm a livingston fan. Ive heard there are a few "organised" fights now being arranged with LYT a break-off of the so called C3 supporters and other premier league clubs as were now back in big time if this is the case then we will see more of what you witnessed. I don't know if you were aware but last week a Livi can started on the train with a Celtic fan same consequence. However back to game firstly the pitch it's awful why we spent £1m yes £1m on that piece of shit is beyond me get that ripped up it's pointless bit like Mr KM totally pointless he was very poor and seems to have sort of ego in playing every week. If you want to be a manager be a manager coach from the side lines and not in the park. KM would be great under Hoppy as a player but as a player under himself sorry but Mr KM do one and get on the touch line and do what you're meant to do "gaffer otherwise were in bother. The game was there for the taking on Saturday and we failed to capitalise.

It's troubling to hear about organised disturbances involving Livi fans. I'd like to think that's not actually the case but time will tell.
And with regards to the new pitch I have to say that I've never seen so many of the rubber pellets on any other pitch. Is it really meant to have that much?

I remember Alloa's old pitch being like that, is it rubber pellets of black sand, I know sand gets put down on top of the artificial grass. Hoping it'll calm down a bit after some rain showers and a couple of games played on it, looks a bit weird with the black stuff jumping up when the ball bounces on the pitch or players kicking and sliding on it. Doesn't actually look too bad playing on it though, no bad bounces like the Airdrie pitch, or the ball sticking on it.

Now we shut down Youth Football due to guess what?
Yep....FINANCES
I mean a so called million a squid on something with lots of black carbon pellets and some look a like fake grass from B & Q plus you would expect high wages for Mr KM (bet Hoppy never got his offer) then we now have to shut youth football down. Total utter disgrace. 50 kids now with no team no potential future unless they find alternate clubs.

The plan is to invest in the first team. But I have heard the chain of events left a sour taste with parents of the boys involved, which if the press get wind will be a bigger furore than the kid that was punted for playing with his mates or whatever it was.
The ball did stick a few times LF, stopped Robbo getting a clean run with it & our lads looked reluctant to shoot at times. KM hit a pass that would have carried to its target on grass but the bounce held it up & it was intercepted.
