Hopefully everyone turns up at the right place for this game, after it being switched to Airdrie then back again, especially our team bus. Results went well for us on Saturday, a win here would see Accies drop out of it and give us a great chance to win the group. It's going to be a tough season for us in the league so getting a wee cup run would be a good distraction that would help boost morale for our league campaign too. We've definitely got goals in the team, just need to keep them out the other end and take all three points. Mon the Amber Machine.

I expect Hamilton to be up for this following their surprise defeat on Saturday.
Having said that, Hamilton have to be one of the teams we target for finishing above in the league campaign so let’s hope we can set a marker in this one.

I’m afraid I’ll just have to imagine you behind the goals, sitting in a wee pub/hotel in Invergordon where we are staying for a couple nights. Heading further north tomorrow.
But like you... I hope we give the Accies a good shoeing

Nobody was behind the goals, we were all in the main stand.
Good result getting the penalty shoot out bonus point, that was the highlight of the night. Accies will struggle if that's their best team, their finishing was shocking, ours was slightly better but i'd be concerned if we didn't have Hardie coming back in. Lee Miller is excellent in his role of target man, wins every header and holds the ball up well, but he needs somebody playing off him and wasn't getting it last night. Thankfully Hardie will be back at some point and both of them linked up well last season and should do so again.
Big game for us on Saturday against Annan, really needing to get at least 2 points from that game.

If we can’t beat Annan it’s going to be a long & very much harder season than even I anticipate & it concerns me that you are even suggesting we might only win on pens

Totally agree missing Hardie, we lack that killer instinct upfront, I thought it was a long long night with the best pass of the evening being the Sainsbury truck doing a tight maneuver behind the goals at the far side. Thought the quality of the speaker system was amazing the music and choice before the game started and at half time was something to look forward too, really loud. But lets get back to the game, I`m not going to be critical at this early stage especially when these games are pre-season friendlies with nothing much to play for but when you here shouts from the impressive travelling support which I am sure will increase in size when the weather improves, its too dark, the dog does does not require aromatherapy, its not a Tuesday, Bake off is not on TV, its too far to travel, etc etc for Kenny Millar to leave the field you have to ask if everyone has bought into this player manager role yet? On that note last season I saw a very vocal David Martindale last season at the touchline encouraging shouting instructions maybe not so again this term so far I wonder if that is KM`s ruling? However the bandwagon moves on to this Saturday, where another pre-season friendly takes place hopefully we can as Jon says get a least a draw then win the penalties but we we will need to be a bit more sharper at the back, as in some occasions Hamilton sliced our back four more open than the Kray twins with only poor finishing letting them down.

Aye it would be a good idea to take ear plugs for our next visit to NDP, the volume of their tannoy system could give a live AC/DC concert a run for its money, and it doesn't get turned off till after the game starts.

I didn't even realise the game had kicked off as the auld gadgy playing the tunes just kept them going! Good sound system though!
Anyway, what about the utter clown who could have won the game for Hamilton but chose to be the smart *arse and try to dink his penalty but only succeeded in putting it onto the roof of the net? #LOL
Poor game. We were better than them but they were quite awful. Good to get the win. Need to get tighter on men, crisper in the passing and pretty much better all round if we want to progress anywhere in this cup never mind stay in the league.

If we can’t beat Annan it’s going to be a long & very much harder season than even I anticipate & it concerns me that you are even suggesting we might only win on pens They beat Accies for the three points, which we didn't manage to do, and are scoring for fun in this comp now too so their confidence will be up, they haven't conceded a goal in their two cup games either, I wouldn't underestimate them. I don't think we'll lose to them but we better improve a bit from the Accies game if we want to win against them and not have to do it in the penalty shoot out again. But yeah you're right Auldnick, we should be beating them, just need to get our shooting boots on.

I agree, we should never underestimate anyone especially a side that is in form...but they beat Accies at Annan which as we know is never an easy game & although we are at Lithgae for our “home” game - only a tenner to get in btw, well done Livi! - we should be able to dispose of them, even if we were in their division.
