Dunfermline players have received their full basic salary on time this month following delays for October and November, but the East End Park coaching staff have only received a fraction of December’s earnings.
Pars manager Jim Jefferies admits money was transferred into the squad’s accounts last week, while the former Hearts boss, along with his backroom team, received an unspecified percentage of their wages yesterday.
Appearance money due to players and the outstanding cash owed to Jefferies and his coaches is expected to be paid before the end of this week following tomorrow’s visit of Fife rivals Raith Rovers.
Jefferies said: “The players were all paid their basic salary last Friday and staff members were given a percentage of theirs on Monday, and we’ve been told the rest will be settled at the end of the week once the club takes some money in from the Raith game.
“The players have been paid and that’s not been the case in the last couple of months when they’ve had to wait.”
November’s earnings were finally paid on 19 December after the squad initially received only 37 per cent of their wages.
The club, who have also struggled to pay tax bills, plan to launch a share issue aimed at raising between £300,000 and £500,000.
