It goes without saying that I hope we pump this mob!! Although I'm not sure that we'll be seeing Paul Watson, or any of the squad for that matter, displaying a 'Thank-you GE & JC' t-shirt at any point tomorrow, if the Twitter rumours of mass players celebrations at the pairs departure are to be believed. See you behind the goals. COLTS!

I'm aware of 4 players who have publicly expressed their delight at the situation. I'm not on Twitter myself but I've no reason to disbelieve the person who said this (it might even have been on here somewhere?).
I'm assuming, of course, but I reckon that other, possibly more social media savvy, players have kept their shared happiness a bit more private.
Who's to say otherwise?

Besides, Jason wasn't the only player to show any delight in the decision, albeit the others weren't first team regulars.

Easiest 3 points of the season. Thought Cowdenbeath were poor the other week, Airdrie were worse.
Second half they resorted to kicking lumps out of Scougall, he looked in bits at the end. Glad he got a goal though, he's had a good few opportunities in recent games and fluffed them, took his goal really well today.
Difficult to fault any of the players today although Morton didn't seem to get in to the game when he came on. Think it was his slack play that led to their consolation at the end. Still, up to third with the Pars in free-fall. Keep up performances like that an we should be good for 3rd at the end of the season.

Agree with all of that.
We were so much better than them that at times it was awkward to watch (if you know what I mean?).
Even without ever requiring to get out of 3rd gear at any point in the game we could have walked that with our eyes shut.
I actually gave credit to Airdrie Re-united at the break because I felt that even though they were completely over shadowed by us in every department they hadn't resorted to kicking and booting.
Not so the 2nd half. Their manager is an arse and had clearly told them to either leave the boot in or to put the boot in or both.
They let their toatie band of fans down by resorting to thuggery and I'm surprised that they finished with as many players as 10 on the park at the end. The ref could have shown at least another dozen yellow cards to them.
Anyway, animal tactics aside, they were pish and I'm glad we pumped them.
Third is ours if we want it. Let's get it. COLTS!

Livingston 4-1 Airdrie United
The brilliance of Anthony Andreu and Stefan Scougall ensured a tumultuous week at Livingston culminated with the welcome respite of a convincing triumph.
Interim boss Richie Burke remained coy regarding hopes of claiming the managerial position on a permanent basis following the shock departure of Gareth Evans and director of football John Collins last week.
This handsome triumph, however, will do his fledgling hopes to have the word “interim” removed from his title no harm.
“Everybody who is in coaching, or in football, is ambitious,” said Burke. “Gareth and John leaving happened very quickly last week and it was a huge shock across the board. It is up in the air and I don’t have answers to questions about the future.”

Livi make light work of Airdrie
Livingston moved up to third with a 4-1 thrashing of bottom-club Airdrie.
The visitors, who came into the game without a win in five games, were awarded a penalty after just four minutes following Jesus Garcia Tena's foul on Jamie Bain, but John Boyle blazed his spot-kick over the crossbar.
And Livi punished the miss with three first-half goals.

Livingston 4 Airdrie 1
CARETAKER boss Richie Burke is bringing the team spirit back to Livi — by taking the squad on a bus trip to Hartlepool.
The Almondvale club were rocked on Thursday when manager Gareth Evans was sacked, and then Director of Football John Collins resigned in protest at the decision.
And the first thing the youth coach has organised is a day out down south to visit his old boss John Hughes, to get coaching tips on how he took Pool on a seven-game unbeaten run before yesterday’s loss at Doncaster.
Burke smiled: “We are going to take the team bus to watch Hartlepool play Colchester on Tuesday night.
“The whole team want to go down so we are going to make a day of it. I want to find out what the form is that helped them to seven games without defeat. It will be good to see John and the boys are all up for it.
“It’s the full monty that are going down after it started off just a handful. The coach will be packed.”

It was men against animals yesterday. Jimmy Boyle tactics were shocking. Stefan was in the air more than the ball at his feet.
How on earth was the Airdrie No 5 no sent off with a second yellow??
I think Kyle has been excellent for Livi, but is not the same player since he has come back from injury. Pace is not there and always wants to go backwards.
I thought Burton had a good game yesterday & thot Tony should have got MoM

Hard to disagree with anything that's been said. Airdrie were embarrassing, but as the old saying goes you can only beat what's put in front of you and I thought we played pretty well. We should probably have won by a greater margin but after the upheaval during the week, just winning the game was the most important thing. It was interesting that Richie Burke chose not to make changes for the sake of it, especially after a couple of performances v Falkirk and Hamilton that dipped a wee bit. I am tempted to agree with Inch Lion in saying that Kyle hasn't been at his best. For me, his touch and passing have not been at the same standard as the rest of the team, but maybe that's just rustiness. What you get from him is workrate and commitment and every good team needs a guy or two like that to allow the likes of Scougall and Andreu to play. Man of the Match for me was O'Brien, who really should be playing in the SPL. Mango wasn't far behind - for me he's been our most consistent performer since the turn of the year. He seems to have settled really well into our style of play and hardly puts a foot wrong by keeping it simple. More of the same would be good next week, but I've heard the Raith pitch is terrible and that won't suit us.

Rich pickings will make life hard for boss
By CALUM LESLIE
LIVINGSTON caretaker
manager Richie Burke says it is a hard task facing whoever might get the job as boss at
Almondvale – because he
reckons there is so much talent to fit into the Livi team.
The club’s Head of Youth, who arrived from America in July last year, took charge for the side’s 4-1 win over Airdrie on Saturday after the sacking of Gareth Evans and departure of John Collins as director of football last week.
Goals from Iain Russell,
Stefan Scougall and a Tony
Andreu double saw off an
Airdrie side who grabbed a late effort thanks to John Boyle.
