We seem to have hit some form in the league with 3 wins on the bounce... They don't seem to be firing on all cylinders... In past years this is where it would all change but we seem to be made of sterner stuff these days.
First of all I hope the weather permits the game to go ahead & secondly, I hope we wipe the floor with them.

All in all, it was pretty average as a spectacle. I was disappointed at our attempts at going forward. Too many high balls that were food & drink for the big number 4. We caused them many more problems when we attacked on the deck but didn't do that enough & we really didn't look like scoring .
Defensively we were fine, I wasn't worried about them scoring until injury time. I didn't see the red card incident, having looked down to check latest scores I looked up to see the tail end of the "collision" & my lad reckoned it was harsh. The ref certainly couldn't wait to pull the red out.
I thought the ref gave poor decisions that affected both sides throughout the game & the west stand linesman doesn't know what "the whole ball must be over the line" means.
In the end 0-0 was probably about right.

Ok first half, shite second half attacking wise but very good defensively. After Thompson's sending off we had to give up our attack and shore up our defence to grind out the draw, seems to be a poor decision by the referee going by Hopkin and Callum Carson's opinions after they looked at video footage, and spoiled the game as a competitive spectacle for the fans.
Not the best game but the point puts us up to second in the league, another point next week would be massive.

I thought the referee had a very poor game. He made some bizarre decisions - especially the red card, which was clearly incorrect and cost us the chance of all three pints. We played well in spells in the first half but less well in the second half. I thought Dunfermline were very cynical and committed lots of fouls all over the pitch throughout. They’re the dirtiest team we’ve played this year. A goalless draw and another point to take is to second. Excellent!

I must get my Sat Nav fixed then get my eyes tested as clearly as I was at the wrong game yesterday. Todays press are all of the same viewpoints as I. We were very poor against a poor "Dunfy" side in both half's apart from our defence where we played rather well thoughout the game. But we lack desire,we lack direction Martindale doing nothing but animated shapes from the bench clearly at one point confusing Rafa. But that aside both sides never looked liked scoring, I thought Lee Miller did not contribute as much as his vast experience should allow. We were in effective up front but the game was there for the taking unfortunatley. However the red card ws without question a red card. Any two footed tackle as aggressive as yesterdays deserved the sending off. No complaints from me. Two vital games coming up we must be looking for at least 2 points from these games to keep us in the play off area. But credit where cerdit due we are second which is way above expectations but if we want to send a message out to the rest of the league we would need to win both of these fixtures.

Having seen the ParsTV video (cheeky Fifers charge for this but my Pars supporting colleague let me see it); the red card challenge from the ref's view certainly looks like he made the right decision - in the modern game. A few years ago it would have been a yellow card & a few years before that it would have been a stern talking to; unless it had been the latest in a series of fouls by the player, in which case it would have been a yellow for persistent fouling. The thing for me though is that he pulled the red card out instantly, he gave himself no thinking time to consider momentum or whether Ryan had been reckless himself in approaching the tackle. Having said that, in this particular instance & in light of the way the game is currently refereed, the decision, albeit hasty, was the correct one.
i just wish players wouldn't react as Ryan did, by appearing in need of a resurrectionist & then to be back running around as if the guy with the magic sponge had worked that exact miracle.
