Wondering what everyones thoughts are on Xmas transfer market?
I would have thought our aim is to keep a hold of the core team and Hoppy. A striker that can back 15+ goals a season would be nice but in short supply AND its Xmas. We've scored a reasonable number of goals but no one striker banging them in - Rory McAllister from Peterhead would be quality!

Rory McAllister? Has yet to impress me when we have played against a team with him in it. Also, he is on record as wanting to remain part time.

He's allegedly on a rather decent wage at Peterhead and he's also prone to getting himself sent off.

Dylan Mackin could score 15 goals a season, he's already on 7 in all competitions, from limited game time. He has his weaknesses though, and Hoppy is working on that, hopefully he'll improve enough for Hoppy to give him more game time and we'll get more goals from him too.

I'd like to see us extend the loans of Penrice & McMillen. The latter hasn't played as much but has looked useful when he has played.
I'd also like to see Mullen's contract extended, so that if/when he does move on he's worth more in the transfer market.

Any money for any player that brings in enough money to at least play the remaining home games would be great. We need to at least complete this season.

No rumour - Danny Mullen off to St Mirren. Think we could get Leigh Griffiths back on loan?

Steven Boyd in on loan, which I think is a very good signing. Was impressed with him when Albion Rovers beat us 2-1 at home last season, nearly forgot about the game as it feels that long ago. Interesting to note we were in for him last January but the three club rule prevented us.
Best of luck to Danny, served us very well and was great watching him develop into a player for us.

No rumour - Danny Mullen off to St Mirren. Think we could get Leigh Griffiths back on loan? My first reaction to this was gobsmacked and a bit pissed off, but after reading other peoples thoughts on several forums and taking time to be rational about it i'm a bit more positive in my mood. He obviously didn't want to stay for another season so we were losing him for nothing in the summer, and if his heart isn't fully with us he's no good to Hoppy's team, our season has been built of work ethic and desire to win games, everyone has to be together working hard for one another. So we get a five figure fee for him and have brought in a player from Accies to replace him. Our emergency loan signing from Accies seems a good player too, Boyd has had nine starts and eight sub appearances this season, and scored three goals, I think he'll fill the void left by Mullen, hope so anyway.

No rumour - Danny Mullen off to St Mirren. Think we could get Leigh Griffiths back on loan? My "rumour" point was regards financial meltdown, not the departure of a player, that has been expected since we allowed him to go on trial at Cardiff
