This will be a stern test, ICT are the form team just now, but we're doing no bad ourselves and a win here could see us go top of the league, depending on how Utd do against St Mirren. Mon the Amber Machine, lets send wee Robbo hame empty handed.

Tricky one to predict as both teams are doing well just now ,it depends on what team turns up today ...going for a tight 1-1 draw

Great day for a game of football. Can't wait! It's a tricky game now that ICT have hit a good run of form. They're unbeaten in 5 games now so they'll be confident, especially defeating Dundee Utd and Dunfermline in the last fortnight. Clean sheets too. We've scored in every game this season and I can't see why that should end today. I fancy goals so 2-2 feels about right. Pittman The Hitman and Danny Mullen to score.

3-1 Livi is my prediction, Mullen, Mackin and Lithgow getting our goals.

Im afraid ICT win no question. Calley WILL win the league. Would love a Livi win but we dont have the depth in the squad or the players to compete at this level. Weve had a great start to the season we have punched away above our weight but ICT will dominate proceedings today.

Happy with a point and a clean sheet at the end of that game. ICT looked more powerful and slicker than us, but we just about deserved a draw in the end. Neil Alexander saved us twice with two great one-on-one saves. I thought we set out to avoid defeat, rather than win the game, against another of the form teams. It shows how far we've come in the last year that some fans were moaning that we weren't winning against a team that was in the Premiership a few months ago. One point from top spot is fantastic at this stage of the season.

While I would agree that we set up to avoid defeat and that they had the better chances, I actually thought we were the better side & if we had actually played to our strengths rather than to nullify theirs, we may well have won the match, because their defence really wasn't that good.
Regarding the suggestion from Misdemeanor above that Caley will win this league.... Not on today's evidence.

Well i didn't see that one coming, us playing one up front for eighty minutes contributed hugely to this being the first game this season where we failed to score a goal. It was to keep a clean sheet rather than to try and score and win the game but really frustrating to watch, you just never felt we were going to score, and thanks to Alexander Hoppy got his draw.
Misdemeanor seems to think Caley Thistle are favourites to win the league, not seeing where he gets that idea from though, on current form Livi are doing better than them and are sitting nine points above them too. I've noticed QoS have creeped up on us though, they have done a Livi here and sneaked under the radar with two draws and three wins in their last five games. They've much more of a goal threat to their team than ICT too, as have we when we play two up front.
The top five has really bunched up now, St Mirren are in a bit of a lull and Utd have picked up a couple of wins, as have QoS, we're stuttering a bit too, but we're only a point off the top of the league, but also a point from fifth place. This point may be an important one further down the road, but it felt like a lost opportunity to try and go top of the league.

Disappointing not have pumped this mob, yesterday!
They're nothing special and we really should have looked to press our home advantage.

I thought Caley were far the better side however I do agree it was an oppertunity missed. Their goal didnt appear to be offside but throughout I felt we lacked drive and the game plan seemed to be attack when we can it seemed we were shoring up for a draw. However the game was there for the taking and Im still staggared to read in the press that our ambition is to finish 8th. Surely we have proved that we are better than 8th?

They were certainly not a far better side than us. They were there for the taking if we had brought our A-game instead of playing for a point. They created the 3 best chances of the game because we were nowhere near offensive enough; if they were a decent side they would have scored on the two opportunities that Alexander saved.
I claimed offside on the "goal" because he was virtually on the goal line and beyond Alexander meaning there had to be 2 defenders closer to our goal than him, which was impossible or he had to be behind the ball, which was unlikely given he was virtually on the goal line. The latter scenario is the only thing I'm not completely certain of but if he was onside then I don't care because we rarely get the benefit of such decisions.
On the question of finishing 8th; that has to be our primary target, once/if that is achieved (i.e. Once we know we will finish no lower than 8th) we can reassess & see where that takes us. Think Leicester of two seasons ago. They went top of the EPL but their mantra was "our target is 40 points" - based on the form we have shown so far we are better than 8th but there is still just under 3/4ths of the season left to play & anything could happen between now & May

I must say I thoroughly enjoyed my trip up to the Tony Macaroni, I thought the game was very even, with Caley probably having the better of the chances, certainly the disallowed goal was a very close call. However a draw was probably a fair result. The top of the table is really congested, but I would think Livi will be in the mix at the end, as long as the injuries are limited. Caley could get into the play-offs, but if thats the case it'll have to be at the expense of Dunfermline I reckon. Was absolutely delighted to get the chance to meet David Hopkin before the match, he's a big hero to Palace fans (like me)and he's a very level headed guy.

Yeah, that's pretty much how I saw it, but I would have liked to have seen us play to our own strengths rather than nullify Caleys because in the end it took a decision going our way and 2 good saves from our keeper to secure the point. If any one of those had gone in Caleys favour then they would have won it because although we created some chances, none were heart in your mouth opportunities where Caley got lucky.
All the best for Palace's relegation battle. It won't be easy after that horrendous start but neither is it impossible.

Maybe if the goal had counted we'd have been more adventurous up front though, all ifs and buts. We played safe and took a point from a team that had beaten two of our top four rivals, the St Mirren game may well be the same but perhaps we'll nick a goal and win it like we did in our cup game against them. QoS game will be interesting, they've got lethal goal scorers, I think we'll need to get a goal or two against them to get anything from that game.

Indeed, goals change games but we rarely hear that the best thing was to lose a goal... It does happen of course, Scotland opening the scoring against Brazil in '82 just fired up Brazil, so the worst thing for Scotland was scoring first and it was the best thing for Brazil... But the gulf in class between those two sides was evident. When two sides are of similar ability losing a goal is more often the decisive factor than the catalyst, especially when the team that goes behind has set up to prevent that happening.
